I wasn’t sure what else to do really and I realise the answer is probably going to be, ’it’s your fault’.

I’ve been saving for a while and finally managed to get the mats together for my second ascended dagger for my thief. My warrior is my crafting character and as such is leveled to 500 now in weapon smithing. The other day she crafted the zojja’s dagger, I was about to put it into my storage when I noticed that the sup sigil of accuracy was in there and thought I would just add it so when my thief got it out of storage it was all ready. I did this and do not recall there being any warning messages about the item then becoming soulbound. I put the dagger into storage, swapped toons and went to get it back out on my thief. When I tried it showed as soulbound and on checking back on my warrior it is soulbound to her.

I am a casual player and making an ascended weapon is a big deal, I now have a ascended weapon that is soulbound to a character that has no way of using it as my warrior can not use daggers. I know this is my fault at the end of the day, I added the upgrade but as stated above can not remember there being a warning message and I do not understand why the game would allow someone to soulbind a weapon to a profession type that can not use it.

I am really hoping that anet are able to help, on the day I submitted a bug ticket through the support option in game, is this the right place I should have done this? I have yet to receive a response so am wondering if I have done this wrong. Is there anything else I could do?

what you submit in game is just bug report, don’t expect any reply for it. if you want direct help from customer support, you should go to support and submit ticket there
