Hello,
Probably after one of the updates quite a bunch of my items got messed up “soulbound” status. Bear with me with the explanation and you will see what I’m talking about:
I started playing as thief who has leatherworking/cooking. I do not intend to switch between crafting skills as needed, because I plan to have a set for each character… However I was still buying every kind of recipe I could from karma vendors even if it was for another profession, planning to give it to my other characters as I create them.
I accumulated over 20 recipes over the course of lvling so obviously I did not have enough space to store them anymore so I transfered them to the inventory of my mesmer for safekeeping. Today I finally created warrior who is supposed to be a weaponsmith/armorsmith and when I tried to transfer relevant recipes from mesmer via shared bank account it turned out that I can’t withdraw them because it says soulbound to other character…
Now you might think it is not a bug it’s a game mechanic and the recipe is supposed to be used by the character that acquired them and as dissapointing as it would be for me I would concede if not for one important factor… My thief who did acquire those recipes cannot withdraw them as well… It got soulbound to my mesmer somehow even though they had nothing to do with him, he just withdrew them from bank account temporarily…
Anet please fix it, it cost me tons of karma points to buy those recipes. They weren’t supposed to be soulbound in first place and if they have to be now due to some changes I want them soulbound to my thief char who acquired them not the mesmer.
Thank You.
