I’ve tried to complete the Source of Orr portion of my personal story and the game crashes to a black screen every time during the final cut scene.

This morning marks my fourth attempt. I’d waited ’til after the game update, hoping it would resolve the issue.

Having the game freeze on me constantly is at least something I can deal with, it rarely kills me, but not being able to finish my personal story is more than a little frustrating.

Does the crash produce a crash dump? What are your system specs and graphics settings~?

No crash dump. The application just stops responding, and I have to end the task.

Phenom II 1090T
16g RAM
Radeon R9 270X

Just a suggestion: Maybe if you lower your resolution you can work around it for just the cinematic that seems to be catching?

Not sure if it’s just the cinematic, but it seems to be. The music and sound effects go odd and it looks like Mr. Plantguy is about to finish the spell and everything goes black.

With my other lockups, I tried reducing the graphics settings to minimum and that had no effect. In fact, I crashed seconds after making the changes.

I can try changing my graphics settings to see if the cinematic finishes, but I’m not convinced that’s the resolution.

Okay, resolved all my lockup issues by formatting my computer and re-installing windows. Finally completed the quest.
