I first brought this bug to everyone’s attention in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion Forums. The replies I got suggest this is indeed a bug. (At first, I wasn’t exactly sure it was a bug).
What happened here is I was merely farming in the Pearl Islet area where Skelks roam on the shorelines, and out of the middle of nowhere I saw a boat spawn near the dock on the shoreline, and thought to myself, “Awesome. That’s a nice little touch to the area.” that is to say, until it disappeared only after I logged out and back in, and then I was like, “Why?!”
Anyway, I just wanted to report this bug because if this boat is not supposed to spawn after someone else’s Secret of Southsun Living Story is complete, then it should not spawn.
P.S. My good guess is the bug itself can be found somewhere at the end of the Secret of Southsun Living Story game code.
