Guild Wars 2

So here I am, finally beating the single most annoying boss I have ever faced, in what I believe to be the last boss fight of the personal story, and as I deliver the final blow, nothing happens. No cut scene, no dialogue, no objective. The Eye just fades. Here I am, standing in an empty room, with my goal completed, orr saved, but wait, no, apparently I haven’t?

I don’t know what to do…Help?

And might I just add this is about the 5th or 6th time the game has either booted the whole server with no warning, or if there was one there was only a few seconds of warning, and bugged out literally moments before I was about to kill the final boss of a quest, dungeon, or event…one of those happening to be Zhaitan himself, another, the biggest boss of the biggest event of the Cursed Shore Zone. One series of this bugging outs made me redo a quest FOUR TIMES. The whole thing. Thank goodness that quest was one of the shorter ones, but I was supposed to escort Traherne, and he would literally just stop in the middle of the road and refuse to continue, even after I killed literally every mob in the instance.

I really don’t want to leave this quest and more REALLY don’t want to re-fight this boss. I killed it, fair and square, I sent the screenshot into my bug report. What can I do?

There is also another kind of bug relating to this personal quest.

For no apparent reason Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan becomes permanetly “determined” i.e. immune to all damage during the fight.

What happens normally during this fight is that when the eye teleports it gains the “determined” boon for a short time before the teleportation, but after the eye appears in the new location the boon drops off and you can do damage to it again.

I assume that there is some kind of a bug in the code where the teleportation for some reason does not happen, when it should, which results in permanent “determined” buff and unkillable boss.

Well, after my ragequit I sucked it up and re-fought him, thank goodness he didn’t bug out this time, but the fact that I have had multiple bugs on multiple quests causing me to redo them entirely, especially on hard/long ones like this are beyond frustrating.
