Hi,

Right now, Spatial surge behave strangely and is able to destroy siege weapon behind walls (in WvWvW). Even as a fervent user of the mesmer I see this as a bug that should be fixed.

I have also noticed a strange behavior when attacking Blossoms in Twilight Arbor, where some of them get hit even when they are far, far away from SS’ beam.

Same thing happening at Tequatl where I’m using Spatial Surge at the boss, but the bone walls and tangling vines around me also show damage numbers.

Also at Jormag I was shooting my purple laz0rz at the dragon, but was also hitting those ice prison things.

So it seems Spatial Surge currently chooses 3 targets within 1200 range radius around the Mesmer if the targets are immobile objects.

Yeah, that’s my take on it too.

I went ahead and tried it on the dummies in LA and took some screenshots to show how the beam does not even prioritize the dummies in its path before hitting another target. For what I understand, it hits your target and then picks the two closest yellow objects nearest to the Mesmer (you can see that by walking around the dummies). The objects can be anywhere, meaning you can deal damage to them even if they are behind you.
