I bought the t1 specialty armors for each race and found that you only get 6/18 achievement points for buying all the ones in t1 for each race. Do you need to buy 6 from each tier? Do the characters need to be high enough level to equip and the right armor class? or is this a bug?

The achievement description reads “soulbind 18 unique pieces of (human, char, norn, asura, sylvari) cultural armor” the 18 t1 armors look unique to me. I don’t see why the points aren’t registering.

Yes, you have to buy 6 items from each tier to finish the specialty armor achievements. The achievement description is pretty vague, I know. :\

From the wiki:

You cannot bypass the expensive Tier 3 requirements by purchasing multiple copies of Tier 1 armor.

and

Maximizing each title requires purchasing six cultural armor pieces for Tier 1, 2, and 3

Soulbind means here that it has to be the correct armor type. If you buy for the wrong armor type, it won’t soulbind and you can’t go back again and rebuy it and have it count on the correct armor type because then it won’t be unique, since you already have it in your wardrobe.
