Ok, we brought plenty of guardians with wal of reflection, we standed on the back, we cleared as many spiders as well could with AoE staff ele and frozen bow, but the darn thing is near impossible.

Please Anet, could you do some tweaking so that it is doable? Or can I get some advices on how to from those who have done it with the recent changes?!

EDIT: Ok, after countless tries with different groups Im CONVICED this is bugged. the amount of spiders that spawn is beyond unimaginable, they have high Hp, by the time youkill the first 2 bunchs the others already spawned, and im not talking aout 1 min, im talking about less than 15 seconds FULLY spawning, you DPS them down, byt he time you are done with them the tree healed over and the other bunch spawned again. Anet please playtest your stuff, this is IMPOSSIBLE

Are you talking about the first batch of spiders after the giant wurm? The trick there is to kill the spiders one batch at a time. Don’t rush inside if you don’t want all the groups of spiders to spawn at once.

He’s talking the end boss I think.

Look into using a couple guardians with spirit shield instead. It’s a dome of projectile immunity. Everyone else full dps. There’s a couple vids you can view on youtube showing you the fight. Tree dead in about 40 – 60 secs.

You get right under the boss (can use a wall or two to get there) then pop the dome and buffs and banners and stuff and just dps the hell out of him.

Im conviced this is bugged. The design is flawed. Either Anet didnt play test this or it is bugged, this is beyond impossible, neds fixing ASAP, I want to get my dungeon runner.

Range the tree instead of going into that room.
Try to aggro as few spiders as possible or noone at all if you can.

It’s impossible if you wipe once. A ton of recluses spawn that can’t be reflected and never despawn. If you fail the first time you might as well restart the dungeon (terrible design I know).

(COE is a lot more rewarding and Arah a lot more interesting)

believe me, i would, but Im trying to get my AP from the dungeons and I need all paths to get that hobby achievement, 200 AP is no joke, after that for all I care the can erase that crappy place

I joined a group that had wiped a few times.
We wiped a few times, then we beat it.

Easiest method, have everyone stand out of range of the tree, one person runs forward and aggros spiders with a range auto attack. Kill spiders. Keep doing this until you can auto attack the tree without aggroing spiders.

Stay at max range near the tunnel entrance, when the fist hits the ground, say 1 out loud, then roll twice. Proceed to drop reflects and condition removals as needed while having 2 people clear up spiders that spawn.

Rinse and repeat.

Are you serious? One (max 2) guardian shoul be able to keep you safe from spiders if he knows what he’s doing and ofc if other party members know what they’re doing.

Just stand behind wall of deflection, inside sanctuary and inside spirit shield. If executed right this means like at least 80% less damage to your team.

Always kill boss at range in this path and don’t use AOEs so you don’t lure more spiders.

Simple as that…

This. THIS is the kittening problem. Kill it the first time or restart the dungeon. This should have been fixed long, long ago.

If the tree gets reset for any reason despawn all the kittening spiders. Otherwise if you don’t get it the first time it becomes impossible, simply because you can’t clean all the spiders inside without aggroing the tree into spawning more kittening spiders. Cue endless kittening cycle.

Just stand behind wall of deflection, inside sanctuary and inside spirit shield. If executed right this means like at least 80% less damage to your team.

And iirc, they changed the spiders’ AI and they now aggro you regardless of range if you attack the tree.

It’s only an example for guardian. Other classes have reflects also (thief, mesmer, ranger, …).
It’s doable with pretty much any random combination of classes but the easiest way is with the guardian.

What you’re saying about no dungeon should be built so you NEED specific proffesion, I agree with that. But I don’t agree with you on reflect stuff. Dungeons are way to easy and they always were too easy. There should be more mechanics like this and they should be more deadly. It’s not fun autoattacking. You should fail a few times to learn and think how to do it properly.

Honestly, I miss pre-nerf cof p1 where last boss was hard and you couldn’t just brute force the kitten out of it with dmg. And I miss Arah p4 before nerf.

In conclusion, imo every boss should be as hard as Lupicus in Arah. I don’t want more dungeons where the ultimate tactic is faceroll.
