Equipping a weapon with a sigil that stacks a certain stat over time will result in a reset of stacks once you enter water (or exit, depending on whether the sigil is on a land- or water-based weapon).

This is odd considering the stacks should only end on down, as they persist when swapping to your second set of equipment. When changing out the weapon with the sigil the stacks are understandably lost, but entering/exiting water/land should not reset said stacks as the weapon was never unequipped to begin with.

Put one of the same stacking sigils in your underwater weapon.

That’s a poor solution to the problem. The sigil states the effect ends on down, and it is implied that putting it back into the inventory will reset the effect as well. Swapping terrains should not disrupt the amount of stacks you have already built, period.

To me, it honestly does make sense. You’re swapping terrain and, thus, “unequiping” your on-land weapons. The fact that you can get around that by putting another sigil in your underwater weapon is what doesn’t make sense to me; however, it does work and is the only viable work-around for it.

Also, this isn’t a bug technically. They changed it about a year ago because the sigils used to let you stack up on a weapon, unequip it, and still keep your stacks with other weapons.
