The Melandru statue in Cursed Shore, near the temple of Grenth, is both contested and uncontested at the same time.
Since it’s closest to the temple of Grenth, which is at the moment uncontested, the statue should be uncontested as well. And according to the map it is.
When you come near it however, you see the green fog and when you enter the fog, the brambles hurt you as if the statue were contested (note: The temple of Melandru is contested).

I’ve noticed a lot of weird problems with statues in Orr lately. For example: I was in Cursed Shore the other day, near the same Skill Point/statue. Both the Grenth and Melandru temples were cleared and uncontested, yet the brambles were still growing when I went near the statue. Same thing with one of the statues over in Malchor’s Leap.

i don’t think they implemented the change very well, back when they made statues controlled by the closest temple, rather than their parent temple.

Both Grenth and Melandru temples in Cursed Shore are uncontested, but the Melandru statue on Graven Cay is inflicting Melandru’s Sorrow, blocking the hero point and map completion.

This Hero Point in Cursed Shore was the last one I needed for the map, and since it was contested I joined the Melandru group that disabled the statues. Went back to the statue to collect the waypoint and was still getting hit by Melandru’s Sorrow…. very frustrating.
