I’ve tried several times to avoid sniper fire by using stealth gliding. When I dodge it shows me go into stealth mode, but it does not prevent ground fire from hitting me or even targeting me; if I see the sniper and dodge to enter stealth mode the sniper can target me at that point.

It’s just the mechanics of stealth. The snipers are channeling a very long skill.

What Andraus said. If they’ve already targeted you before you go into stealth, then you’re going to get hit (unless you get out of range before the attack fully channels). That’s just how it works; if a channeled skill is started before the target stealths, the attack will hit.

Stealthed enemies can be seen with only Nuhoch Language, however Treasure Mushrooms cannot be hit without Stealth Detection.

In what relation is Nuhoch Stealth Detection with Stealth Gliding?

This seems completely unrelated.
The OP describes a common behavior for every form of stealth.
