Seems really really illogical, and even more makes stealth mechanic pointless in some situations like this.

Clears it up, yes..makes sense? Not really..
I don’t play thief anymore but i have noticed that i can hit them with my ele scepter autoattack when they stealth and track their movement with it for a short while.
Shouldn’t stealth drop any action against the target..?
Yes I have noticed that too, I mostly kill every thief now and they pop out of stealth downed, because I keep hitting them while they are stealth. Nice for me, but bad for them. I think this should be changed.

Ive kinda got the same thing with my mesmer. Whenever i go to stealth, i keep getting hit by their single target ranged skills. Shouldn’t the attack be dropped whenever someone going into stealth.

Yeah is clear and it is clearly wrong, why u just don’t interrupt skills on you? You can’t channel if you can’t see.
This is ridiculous. I mean on the karka vid he dodges out of fire and the karka just changes his projectory to hit him. I’m sorry but then stealth just has no sense
It’s fine the way it is. You are in stealth, not invulnerable and in stealth. If they lay down aoe on your location then you will get hit. If they shoot an attack at your location then you will be hit. All stealth does is prevent you from being visible to enemy players so they can’t directly target you.

AOE is perfectly fine. A projectile (take a look at the karka video, from your reply you probably haven’t done it yet) that follows a stealthed thief isn’t..
When thieves are stomping me with my engi, sometimes i can interrupt them even while in stealth with my wire ‘cause they bodyblock it. That’s fine too. But when with my ele i follow them with my autoattack for seconds after they stealth well..that ain’t fine..

You are absolutly right about AOE’s and even about single target projectiles that are being fired where im sitting.
Thats not what i was questioning tho Ayrilana.
You can clearly see from both videos i’ve linked that projectiles follow my character even after being stealth. Not to mention that in my first video i get hit by skeletons from 2 different skills, one of wich is a channeling skill that doesn’t seem to take into acount the fact that i am invisible.
So please check what is exactly i am refering to and reply to that.

+1. This is so annoying considering the fact that most thiefs use shadow refuge on an emergency situation. Aoe’s killing us is fine but getting killed by projectiles following while in stealth seems highly illogical, even dumb.
Thieves dont need a buff, certainly not to stealth. If Stealthing would break a channeled attack this would be a pretty big nerf to professions with such abilities.
If you can just Stealth break Rapid Fire, that would be retarted. This is the deal, you are in stealth and single-target abilities cannot “lock on” to you, that is a fantastic position to be in.
But when you werent in Stealth, they could and they will keep hitting you. Either you’re going to have to do something else to counter it, or use Stealth at a better time.

But i still have a question, in the first video the “skeleton” used a point blank shot whyle the thief was already stealthed, is it intended ? does it works in WvW/PvP ?

This is not even remotely about making sense, because its a game. And Stealth in and of itself makes no sense.
You get downed? Doesnt break stealth.
Walk around in the middle of a 40man zerg? no one sees you.
Stand in a wide open field, bright light, jumping? Completely invisible.
Stab someone? Magically turn invisible. unless you just stabbed him while being invisible, then you have to wait 3seconds.
hmm, sounds like game mechanics more so then common sense. And the game mechanics are very clear on this, as the dev explained, if an ability cast has started on you going into Stealth does not interupt this.
As the dev said, its not a bug. And people are asking for it to be buffed, under the guise of wanting stealth to be a bit more realistic.
But more realism shouldnt apply to all the unrealistic stuff surrounding stealth that actually work in favor of Stealth, right?
There is no bug here. Let’s suppose a mob has you targeted and attacks before you go into stealth. If it shoots at you instantly for 2000 damage then you’re thinking it is fair. If it uses a channeled skill to shoot you for 5×400 damage over 3 seconds then you’re thinking it should stop when you go into stealth. This is however very unfair on the user of the channeled skill since they have to be static, channel the attack, not be interrupted, have you targeted (out of stealth) when the attack starts, and take more time to deal the damage than the instant skill.
A dodge, aegis, blind etc will typically also just be a partial defense to part of the channel attack and will not stop all the damage. If you want to interrupt a channeled attack you have to use an interrupt skill. This is how the combat system works, with some advantages and disadvantages when different attacks match up to different defenses.
Tough. Stealth is the most broken mechanic in the game – there is no issue here.
