Maybe someday… This massive disaster of an update will be corrected but since the 1st patch , a fair percentage of us can’t even get to the character screen.

And I’m one of those as well. I even tried downloading the game fresh and still after a long three hours of loading 301,000 files find that I’m still stuck with the screen flickering at the top after I hit “Play”. Which then freezes my pc and I have to use the power button and restart it. I have never even seen the character screen since I loaded the 16th’s hot mess. I love Guild wars and would love to play but sadly my daily wish hasn’t been granted. Please do better guys, I want to support you!!!

Some players (no idea if it will be helpful for you) have had success adding the -windowed command line argument to their shortcut.

Aye….I’m aware of the work around. Frankly , I didn’t code the problem so I’m not going to edit a kitten thing to fix it. No one else should have to either.
Preciate the info though.

Up to you. Command line arguments are useful for a multitude of functions with the game; many have nothing to do with bugs.

Hopefully, you will not wait too long while choosing to just let it be.
