Stomp exploits
Plague form Unintended, you can’t transform mid stomp.
Lich form Unintended, you can’t transform mid stomp.
Death shroud Not a bug if you DS flash first for stability. If you stay in DS, unintended.
Necrotic traversal(fleshwurm active) Not a bug. Very limited use.
Spectral walk Not a bug. Very limited use.
Blink Not a bug. Good vs thieves if you have fast hands.
Shadow step Not a bug. Not very useful against ele/thief/mes.
Portal Not a bug. Not very practical but is a viable option.
Phase retreat Bug/unintended. Basically useless, even if combined with blink.
Lightning Flash Not a bug. Good vs thieves if you have fast hands.
Tornado Unintended, you can’t transform mid stomp.
You forgot one:
Infiltrator’s Signet – Not a bug. Great vs other thieves, instant teleport to their corpse.
If a necro combines Spectral Walk with Flesh Wurm to stomp its a great combination, but uses 2 utilities to do so, and requires them to be off cool down, and for the necro to be a significant distance away before running in to stomp. DS flashing for stability is much easier/safer. Spectral Walk or Flesh Wurm are useless for stomping without the other.
Weapon skills are definitely not designed to be used during stomp, phase retreat doesn’t achieve anything anyway so meh.
Pretty certain transform-stomps are unintended… but if a necro wants to waste his elite just to stomp, who cares really, let him. Most necro’s use their elite to fight, not to stomp. If you’re down you deserve to die anyway.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in every MMO.
Stop failing at PvE, start fixing PvP/WvW. Thank you.

yeah i see the point in that most of these are not too useful and so on. but is this ur own opinion again or can i get some proof that these aren’t bugs. some link to forum post were anet answers or something. Why is ds stomp and transformations a bug if mistform isn’t. Also this whole thing with any of these looks kitten and unlogical. If these have been bugs at start and later approved why haven’t anet said anything…. Just being long in the game doesn’t remove the bug status until anet makes its move. Also some ppl call these “hidden tecniques”. most kitten name for bug in my opinion
Any Utility skills (skills 7-9) that can be used at any point DURING the stomp are all intended to be used, to counter downstate skills and other enemy interruptions etc, so you can secure your earned kill.
The shadow step utilities (skills 7-9) allow for a higher skill ceiling amongst the player base. Especially the spectral walk + flesh wurm one, that one is rare to see done, but probably the hardest, effort/skill wise. It is an advanced tactic, you won’t see noobs doing it.
Mist form isn’t a bug, because you can use it at any time during the stomp and it won’t break the stomp. Same goes with the shrinking engi elixir. Powerful against warrior/guard/ranger/engi/necro, but weak against ele thief and mesmer.
^ All of those are utility skills (skills 7-9). They can be freely used at any time during the channel. All intended to be used if desired, to counter down state skills or other interruptions, to secure your earned kill.
And note that Thieves cannot use Steal (F1) or it will break stomp, because it isn’t a utility skill, it wasn’t purposefully picked, it has no drawbacks/trade off since every thief has it by default. Where as picking certain utility skills that can help stomping is a decision the player made, they sacrificed using other utilities to be able to stomp better.

Cannot freely be turned on at any point during the stomp channelling (at 20% done or at 80% done etc). So being able to use it at the same time as starting a stomp is a bug that needs to be fixed.
Death Shroud can be traited to give you stability when activated. If you double tap F1 to “DS flash” to gain stability, then start the stomp (not in DS), that’s intended to be done as a safety measure against interruptions. It comes at a cost, you have to trait for it, and put DS on cool down.
But to have DS active while you are stomping is a bug. You couldn’t turn DS on when the stomp channel is 60% done. Being able to bug it on at 0% stomp is unintended.
Pretty much a simple test for skills:
If you can use it when the stomp bar is at 50%, then it was intended to be useable with stomping.
If you use it when the stomp bar is at 50%, and the stomp cancels, it was never intended to be used with stomping.
Sorry if this post rambles on or doesn’t make sense, it’s late here lol.

uh ye , no , pls make it harder for roamers to stomp ppl in zergs…

This is false, I use Steal to stomp other thieves all the time in WvW.

exactly, pls try to understand game mechanics, else it will ruin the game for most ppl
and if u r adding some skills, add all of them
guardian focus during stomp, arcan shield during stomp, guard teleport medi during stomp, mesmer chaosstorm aegis gain during stomp, ele lightning flash to blinking thiefs during stomp, engi smoke field bomb thingy stomp, etc
oh wait, lets just make it so that u cant kill ppl huh? and what about rezzers? we should be able to cc them during rezzing if they can cc during stomp. pls thats not a bug.
and stability should be lost either if its rly a bug..
