First, let me say I love Heart of Thorns. Chronomancer is the answer to many offerings to Lyssa. The glider is just.. wow. I’d have bought HoT just for Verdant Brink and gliding.

My first pass through Strange Observations, I skipped the first two Mordrem fights by using [Blink] to bypass the traps. I completed the objectives and Taimi joined the group. She never explained about Rata Nova though and the story wouldn’t advance.

( I’m totally stoked to hear of Rata Nova. Is it possible that some day Chronomancers will find a way to return briefly to Old Tyria? )

I reset and did the story step again, killing all Mordrem and it worked.

Also I found that I had to reposition the mushrooms some of the time, The Bristlebacks appeared, but never went hostile if I misplaced the mushroom.

Bumping this because I want the team to see it.

Just had the same problem. I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but I initially missed the side tunnel to where everyone is waiting, and went back down to the lower level, where I started. I got close to the team, though, with Taimi in tow. When I finally worked out where they were, Taimi was already with them. Whatever – once I finally got to them, absolutely nothing happened.

Second pass through, I note that Taimi followed me to the team, and the ending triggered when she arrived.

(Other possibilities I can think of that might have conceivably been involved, first time through:
- I got past both sets of traps without triggering a fight; second time, I triggered both sets
- I died once when confronting the controllers; second time, not
But I’m betting on my having gotten too close to the team whilst not actually being in the right place.)

Bug still there, did not kill 2 of them, only to kill them after visiting. Did not help.

You need to trigger the second trap when you come back.

Yup, bugged. Missed the side tunnel to “Share the news” and went all the way around. Retraced my steps and nothing triggered. Had to do the instance over. Awesome…

So I encounter this bug today. It’s been at least 4 months since last reported. Anet, are you even paying attention?

If you experience a bug, the best way to report it is to use the in game /bug report feature. The reason for this is because it timestamps the event and provides information to the dev team that they won’t get from just seeing the post on the forums.

In addition to that, there’s a section of the forums devoted to bug reports which might well be prioritized since it’s designed for that purpose.
