Guild Wars 2

Throughout all of beta and live, I have had little if no lag issues despite being being from England playing on US servers (Stormbluff Isle), but today, all of a sudden, about half way through doing the daily, I have been hit by constant lag which is affecting my character by a second or more, with the skill buttons sometimes even just flashing at me when clicked and not being able to do anything except run (and even then, am I really running or is my character just standing still on the server?).

The game has become pretty unplayable now due to this, especially for the Halloween jumping puzzle – I load into the map and the game thinks the green fog has overtaken my character and I immediately get sent back to the start. I’d hate to think what it would be like in dungeons, haha.

I’ve tried deleting the local.dat and letting the game rebuild the file, but it doesn’t seem to have helped at all.

Is there any other suggestions I could try out to attempt to fix this? I’ve already rebooted router and computer, and scanned hard drive for anything, and even tried disabling avast! while playing, but it doesn’t seem to have worked in helping to resolve this.

I should note that Guild Wars 2 is the only game on my computer affected by this – all of my other online games run fine.
