Guild Wars 2

I got up this morning eager to load in the new update and the little numbers just flew by and came to a dead stop at a screen that just says “Initializing…” . I turned the game on and off a few times then restarted my machine but the “Initializing…” screen is the only one I get now. I left it up while out running errands and came back to the same problem 5 hours later. Please help, thank you.

I’m having the same problem, screen is stuck on “Initialzing…” Was able to boot up the game fine before today. I’m putting in a support ticket, but figured I’d add my voice here too.

I’m a FIOS user on a 64bit Windows 7 PC.

I still cannot get past this screen on the log in. I really don’t want to be forced into a clean re-install. PLEASE, help me fix this.

Ok right click on guild wars and then in the target location copy pas this: -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80" just make sure you add the " to the End or it wont like it.

after that a small patch and it should be fine. you can remove that after patch is done

Remove all unnecessary things from your GW2 folder, including the “bin” folder and possible SweetFX installations. That fixed it for me.

I do have SweetFX, I will try that. Thank you.

i noticed i forgot to say at the end of the current file location but its good you got your self fixed a difrent way,

so far this is probly the most broken i have seen a patch/update be for a long time…

so much is screwd it amazes me
