I have been saved. Thanks ANET! Would love to hear a post giving us info as to what caused this and what we could do in the future to either a.)prevent it or b.)fix this on our own… maybe implement something at the login screen to reset the account to Lions arch and disband any instance?
tell everyone in your game /m chat to log off and exit the client for a while. 15 mins or so. I think thats what ended up happening for us. Maybe it keeps an instance open for everyone in the game if one person is still active?

If you are facing a urgent game breaking issue you better report it through in-game report tool. You won’t get a reply but your report will give them a lot more details about the issue than what we can provide here.
Also, spamming and bumping threads is no use. In fact, you can even get in trouble or get a thread closed if you do so (bumping posts is against rules).
Another option is to contact Customer Support, but the reply can be slow as it is here.

Really wish there were an in-game report system for “emergency” bugs such as this.

Actually, there is a in-game report tool. It’s even better to report these things through it as it can give devs a lot more info than we can provide here. Just don’t expect a reply to it, as the tool itself tells you.
Also, if you are stuck you can always use the /stuck command. It will teleport you out in some situations or point you out to a nearest WP, depending where you are stuck. Anyhow, that command also reports to them that you got stuck.

no need to just try and create drama, please just be constructive. We were all trying to figure out what was going on. without forum talk, nobody would know if others had this issue. This is why we specifically have the bugs section. to report bugs.
there is actually a sticky thread in the pvp section where you should post if you get stuck in a match, it seems they check this regularly and sort stuff pretty quick.

Actually, my post was directed to another post other than yours, it’s just that the threads got merged then it went out of context. What I meant with spamming and bumping was toward someone else that had done 2 similar threads about this subject as well was bumping the said threads. I apologize if I sounded rude toward anyone or what not, it was never my intention. In fact, I tried to give more options other than this forum in case a faster response would be needed.
