Has anyone else been experiencing getting stuck in combat mode for quite a while after the fight has ended? It’s happened frequently with me since the last patch. No aggressive mobs anywhere near after I’ve killed the one(s) I was fighting yet I’m stuck in combat mode, once for almost 4 minutes. (I timed it) Plus I’ve moved a very long way from where the fight was, at the ridiculous slow plod that you’re reduced to when in combat mode, before it stopped.

Not reccently, but I’ve experienced this. is this a character that spawns aid? (turrets, minions, clones, pets…) reason I ask is because, (silly me) I was running along with my engy and fought a mob by laying down a few turrets. once the mob was done I moved on. Little did I know, a creature respawn at the spot I had just left and my turrets started to attack even though I had left the visual range. was stuck in combat mode until I realized it was my turret.
If it was some other reason you were stuck in combat, would be interesting to hear.

I think there are some issues with the game still thinking combat is in progress after specific situations happen in a battle (or you are just not aware you are somehow still being “tracked” by an enemy AI). I don’t think it has anything to do with any recent patches or game changes, however.

Next time it happens to you, try forcing a weapon resheath (not sure of the key off hand) and / or try an emote (/sit is the quickest one).

^ what he said. dancing or cheer is also good ones. or rank. Just cause it’s fun to watch your bunnys (or whatever you got rank in).

You’ll be surprised on the length some AI will go to follow/track you. :/ I had a scale that followed me down a hill after I tried to run away from it. I fell to my death (was bigger than I thought) and the scale came down looked around and then left. lol.
