Have you tried using the -maploadinfo? It may shed some light on what is going on in the client while you’re waiting.

I’m having the same issue with the lag time when i log into my account, use way points, and when i change characters. My ping seems to be very high compared to others in the server. I average 320 and some times I’m playing with a ping as high as 600 on average, which causes the game to disconnect. I am in a european server and live in the United States and was told that is why my ping is so high.. Please let me know what i can do to fix this problem. Switching servers isn’t an option because of the people I play with. I look forward to not always being the one everyone is waiting for to begin,
