Stuck in the map or seeing map art issues?
My character, and quite a few other peoples characters, are currently stuck in the loading screen for plains of ashford. It seems to be caused from porting from black citadel into plains of ashford. It goes to the loading screen and stays there for a good 5-10 mins before crashing with an error (code=7:0:0:794:101).

Heart Working On: Help Costi Atl and his Tribe Hunt for Termite Larvae
I was working on the heart: “Help Costi Atl and his Tribe Hunt for Termite Larvae” for this particular area when everything occurred. Like the directions in the top right, I used the cannons to shoot termite mounds and then left the cannon to pull the termite out. When I got to the termite to pull it out, the mound started to re-spawn under my character’s feet causing the screen to flicker for a few moments until I fell through the floor.

Ive seen this before, but is this a map glitch?
The problem are the random splotches of light all over.

I’m 100% sure this bug started recently, like a couple of days ago (at least for me) , because 1 week and a half ago, when i went there for map completion, the citadel was fine.
I also noticed the same bug at the small buildings in the red spawn of the green borderland.

You mean the colored things on walls? It was reported recently, just the post before yours.
Logged out to character select while standing on Vista north of Kessex Haven WP in Kessex Hills region. When I logged back in to that character, seemed to have fallen through the platform and was stuck. Couldn’t get out by moving/jumping. Had to escape by using WP port.
Pretty sure these black bars aren’t supposed to be there… the image seems to be in a lower resolution then pre-patch

Since the last big patch, the one about vista changes (don’t remember the date :$) when I enter to the PvP hall, and sometimes some Lion’s Arch tp, my view stucks a few seconds (10/15 sec) in the place where I respawn, but my character can move throught the map without problem…
Due to the recently big patch about vista’s, I don’t know if is a problem of configuration, a problem of my computer, or maybe a problem to charge the zone for the big amount of people (it seems to have problems only when there is a lot of people).
(Edit: In the attachments we can see in the map that im turning around for the hall, and my pet following me)

Area Northeast of Trionic Lattice Vista, on lower ground.
Issue Players can find unfinished geometry and enter through it to reach an area where they can watch the world geo flicker in and out when facing east.
Reproduction Steps
1. Slightly northeast of the Trionic Lattice Vista, there is another ice pillar that the players can walk around its base. Snow trolls spawn around this ice pillar.
2. On the north side of the ice pillar, there is a small bit of snow that players can jump onto.
3. From that pile of snow, the players can jump from snow pile to snow pile around the base of the ice pillar until they reach the south side of it.
4. Where the ice pillar meets the cliff that the Trionic Lattice vista is located on top of, the players can see that the world geometry does not meet.
5. Player then can jump through the hole and into the cliff. If they face east and move the camera around, they can see the world flicker in and out.
so i just downloaded GW2 and have noticed that when ever i move my character around the graphics go all funny. building dont show up but stop me from moving then they will appear in the middle of an open area and then there are random blue lines throughout. i turned all my settings right down, restarted my game and have tried in in window mode and its still the same. i have read that a number of people have been having the same problem as i thought it may be my graphics card but a number of my other games play without issue.
I see water and lava with an icy look on various maps… I don’t know when it started, I’m going to guess since April fools?
I seem to have run into a texture issue the ground textures are not being drawn properly most of the ground textures are being displayed in black. It is happening with every map and not just the areas shown.
The graphics bug seems to of started with todays update (28th April 2015).
I have tryed updating to the most up to date driver nvidia 350.12 this has not fixed it.
Zone Kessex Hills

Issue My screen was filled with hundreds of mirrored panels. They reflected my character if I had the reflection settings set to that. Other players could not see them.
A quick relog fixed the issue, but my husband saw it as well on his computer. My graphics drivers are up to date, as well as his.
Hi, during a rated pvp match my char was unable to move in Forest of Niflhel’ just off the cap point in mid. I believe I may have been immobilized prior to, negative conditions were cleared. I was able to type in chat so it was not the keyboard and after I sat and died by a mesmer I re-spawned and was able to move again.
Zone: Lion’s Arch
Area: Sewers’ entrance (for mission 6 of the story as a vigil member)
Issue: As soon as I start the mission the game puts my character (Charr) inside a pile of rocks. I can’t get out and even though I restarted both the mission and the game a couple of times nothing happened.
Please help me out I really need this mission!

Just thought I’d drop in here and report on something that I see quite often across multiple areas and zones, as long as there’s a World Boss Event happening. It may be happening at other times as well, but not from what I’ve seen.
I’m seeing remnants of battle, or something similar to where people have been in the map; there will be lines/striations in the air but near to the ground, almost like a banner; also I’ll see what look to be discarded weapons (didn’t need that Twilight did you?) as static items on the map; there’s pulsing round/oval shadows on the ground like where people have been but aren’t anymore; and finally there’s figures/silhouettes running on the spot in basic armour, sort of like people that were there once but aren’t anymore. This seems to be most apparent in the Shiverpeaks areas, like for the Frozen Maw and Claw of Jormag events.
The more I think about this, the more I think it could be to do with the number of character models I have selected in the Options. My model limit is set to Low and model quality set to High, everything else is maxed; but only because during world bosses (thanks to megaserver) the number of toons and projectiles is so high that I want the game to be playable at reasonable FPS. I’m thinking that’s possibly why there’s these ‘remnants’ of characters that remain.
Sometimes, I’m even beside myself!!

Entering level 60 personal story at “Forewarned is Forearmed” when I enter the instance and after it loads. I glitch into the map and get locked under a Dirt pile to the Left of the instance.
I was getting the graphic issues in the light in the darkness instance. It seems this old game has poor video programming because it looks like a heat issue lol. I turn the settings down in video and ok now. This is ridiculous I run DA Inquistion at 1920X1080 without these problems in high quality mode. Need to work on the graphics programming folks.
I can’t start my lvl 60 storyquest “Forewarned is Forearmed: Investigate the mysteriouse disappearances. Meet Warmaster Forgal near the sewers in Lion’s Arch”
The reason for that is that when I’m entering the instanz for my quest I get stuck inside the stockpile on the left side. I tried everything there is no way you can get out of there.
I needed to relog my character to get unstuck again.
I’m not sure why this is happening, maybe u could but the stockpile a bit away from the entrance? :3
For the 4th time in a row, after getting the 3 orbs and boarding the ship, the progression gets suck at:

Afaik Vandem is supposed to interrupt but she doesnt. (Captain Vandem: Sorry to interrupt, but we’ve sighted gigantic minions of Zhaitan up ahead!)
Ship is in the position of the first 3 huge risen giants on the right. PS progress is at “Keep watch for Orrian forces as the airship advances”.
I tried relogging, rebooting, and unsuccessfully looking for a group.
This is holding up my progress!!!

I’m having exactly the same issue, the airship stopped but the NPC dialogue never went past Rytlock’s Worf impression, so the giants/cannons were never triggered.
Has anybody been able to complete Victory or Death since yesterday’s release Jun 23 12pm EST?
Bugged at the same spot here too.

Was able to complete this shortly after yesterday’s patch around 10pm est, even though patch notes didnt mention anything regarding this matter.

Area: New crater graphic (I think from Air Strikes)
Issue: If you run over the top of them occasionally you fall into one and a trapped in it and can’t move or use abilities and have to Portal out. Happened to a few people so far.
It… bothers me.
The shadow in lions arch is directed the wrong way. I’ve moved the map multiple times and the sun in the sky stays right where it is. The shadow, however, does not move. I don’t suppose it should move, but it SHOULD – in the very least – line up right with the sun. That’s how these shadow things work. >.<
So, yeah. That’s what I found, silly as it is. I hope this counts under map art.

I did it solo last night. DIdn’t get stuck. The dialogue did seem to hang a little bit while on that particular airship, but it progressed.
Just soloed it as well…seems fixed.
Nope, tried twice today to do this, bugged at the giants both times. First time Zojja never said her line, second time Rytlock never said his.
Really frustrating, thought I’d finally be able to finish this.
The wall just left from the entrance to The Vaults POI (BL weapon building) isn’t solid and gets you behind the map.
near the bridge that leads to fort marriner there’s a case of “weird floaty sand texture”.
Story got stuck for me too, on the airship right infront of the Giants.
Yesterday I was able to finish it but today it failed to activate the cannons at the part with the giants. Seems to still be an ongoing issue.

In the new LA – at the end of the jumping puzzle in the upper right hand corner of the map. There are old texture layers hovering in air over the current textured ground.
I’m wondering if anyone else is having any trouble with the Zhaitan quest, Victory or Death. This is the second time through where I get to the air ship, we travel for a while, listen to the dialogue of the companions and when the ship stops, nothing at all happens. I’ve been waiting on deck for a good 15 minutes and no progress at all.
Have tried several suicide leaps off the deck hoping that it might trigger something. I’ve tried every dialogue option with each of the party members but still we just sit here.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

Yep, exact place I got stuck.
Different bug but I was returned to char select screen at the final phase during the cutscene of Zaithan’s arrival. Wasted an hour getting there. Fix your kitten game.
Got stuck there a couple of times, too (on 2 different chars).
When I tried it for the third time, I tried to see if I can spot anything strange… there were four things I found odd:
- Eir’s dialog (“He had to stay behind…”) already started while the Logan-cutscene was still playing (right before the screen fades to black when the airship is seen flying away)
- 1:16 after the game switches from the cutscene to the airship, i took damage (nothing appeared in the combat log) and all particles from particle effects (like those golden particles when you gain swiftness) moved really fast (as if i or the airship started moving really fast … IDK – probably due to the falling damage glitch!? is the airship probably moving down a bit before approaching the giants!?)
- the giants were totally stuck… no animations were playing or anything
- the dialog that Rytlock should say (“A good death…but too soon.”) is missing
So it looks like something breaks the script before Rytlock can say his line… probably the damage?

I opened a ticket at german support, but they just said, you are working on it. When will this be fixed? It really sucks to not be able to play one of the 3 modes of gw2.
I already saw this bug reported multiple times, but no solution that far..
Please fix it!
