I’ve been having the same problem when I try to do the story on my guardian. Tried it twice and got stuck in that exact spot. I submitted a bug report. Hopefully it gets looked into.
I also have this problem is there a fix or something?
Hey Meridius… did you got your problem fixed? I really do not like the idea of getting myself this issue for more than one month. It’s been a week so far.
I got the same issue. I’d read before people said skipping cut-scenes can cause issues, so I watched all of them. It looks like that “fix” doesn’t work.
Map: Skyhammer
Both teams in a pvp match are stuck in a pvp map for the past 30 minutes without any means of getting out of it. We’ve tried logging off, switching characters and staying inactive but nothing works. The 10 players stuck on the map would appreciate it if we got freed from our arena prison.
Attempted to complete this mission twice tonight with a Mesmer. Both times the airship stopped at the Giants. No cutscenes skipped. Rytlock got his lines off.
First time, I moved my character to the forward deck. I thought that may have caused the problem. Second time, I had him stay at the point where he spawned on the airship. After a few moments he was defeated and given the option to retry from checkpoint, which I did however the ship had stopped moving.
This mission has been working fine for me up until tonight. My character is still on board the ship. I may try again after re-logging. I noticed that the NPCs were rubber-banding a bit during the second attempt.
Update: Re-logged and started the mission with a Ranger who completed it in just under an hour with no problems.

Any updates on this? I’m having the same issue.
Tried again on my mesmer today to see if the patch changed anything but it failed exactly the same way as before (got some damage, particles moved like crazy, Rytlock didn’t say a thing, etc.).
Funny thing (but probably totally unrelated) is, that Logan briefly appeared on the airship right after the cutscene where the airship takes off ended.
Map: Dredgehaunt Cliffs
Location: Munitions building in De Molish Post (south edge of map)
Scenario: Working on completing nearby heart: (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Help_Explorer_Brokkar_sabotage_dredge_munitions)
After breaking through door and destroying the objects inside, I completed the heart. However, my character was then immediately placed into a small area below the floor, and there was no path or interactive method to get out of the building besides using a waypoint.
I suspect that the completion of the heart may be causing the interactive objects like the door and enter-able building to removed and the character is getting sent to the nearest location which happens to be an otherwise inaccessible pocket located below the building.

Whats the point in merging several postings regarding people unable to leave (thus “being stuck”) a PvP map and people not being able to progress (thus, “being stuck”) in the “Victory or Death” personal story step into a thread regarding Map-Art and Terrain issues!?!?
Those things have absolutely nothing to do with what this thread here is about.

Dry Top? So how the heck did you end at the outside of Silverwastes? lol Or weren’t both pics about the same incident?
Got stuck there a couple of times, too (on 2 different chars).
When I tried it for the third time, I tried to see if I can spot anything strange… there were four things I found odd:
- Eir’s dialog (“He had to stay behind…”) already started while the Logan-cutscene was still playing (right before the screen fades to black when the airship is seen flying away)
- 1:16 after the game switches from the cutscene to the airship, i took damage (nothing appeared in the combat log) and all particles from particle effects (like those golden particles when you gain swiftness) moved really fast (as if i or the airship started moving really fast … IDK – probably due to the falling damage glitch!? is the airship probably moving down a bit before approaching the giants!?)
- the giants were totally stuck… no animations were playing or anything
- the dialog that Rytlock should say (“A good death…but too soon.”) is missing
So it looks like something breaks the script before Rytlock can say his line… probably the damage?

I had a similar issue today. The airship stopped moving just before the Giants loaded. I relogged and it worked fine.
I did notice something different the second time through. When interacting with Caithe right after arriving in the dungeon, I clicked through all the extra dialogue options before triggering the cut scene to start the search for the power cores.
The green NPC interact star above her head DID NOT go away. Also, after recovering the cores, the cut scene of Logan cutting the airship lose DID NOT play.
The second time, after talking to Caithe I started the cut scene immediately. The star went away and so far the instance is progressing as normal.
In the scavenger’s chasm jumping puzzle there is a piece missing of the rock wall under water under the platform to get out of the water. When you look through this hole you see nothing but water as far as the eye can see.

What is this I’m seeing?
I can’t complete the game I have spent my hard earned money on, the game is broken as of this moment.

This is a pretty serious problem, not a minor glitch in a map, it’s a whole part of the storyline of guild wars 2 not functioning.

Huh? It seems a mod mistakenly moved that post here as they aren’t related to this thread, non-functional elements have nothing to do with map art issues, and “stuck” as used here is about being stuck into map geometry or something like. And the game isn’t “completely” broken as you sound, it has issues but overall it’s working normally. Also, that issue with Personal Story has been fixed it seems.
P.S.: If it wasn’t a mod move then someone posted it at the wrong thread.
I hope I am posting this in the right place. Apologies if not!
The issue seen in my attached screenshot has been happening with greater frequency over time. This happens to me in any map (PvE, PvP, dungeons, etc…) at any time, completely obscuring my screen. Changing my graphics settings is my quick fix, as it snaps everything back into place, however it has happened to me on any graphics setting (from ‘best performance’ to ‘best appearance’).
I wish I could provide more detail as to what exactly causes it, but it does seem to happen at random as far as I can tell. So I’m not looking for an instant fix! Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or any ideas as to what I might be able to about it.

This is what I get once every couple of days usually in EOTM, It starts out as small lines flashing on screen then usually ends up being impossible to play unless I alt+tab out and back in.

Basically I am glitching through a wall in LIONS ARCH in the Postern Ward. You can see my position in the minimap
So I decided to sit on a roof of a building in Divinity’s Reach when I forgot about the game… Couple hours later I came back & saw I was logged out, but when I logged back in my character had seem to fallen through the roof!
Inside, the building was actually sort of decorated with creepy objects etc, makes me wonder what the purpose was haha!
I could get out of the building by using a Waypoint. The doors in the building didn’t work.
I’ve sent this request through in-game already a couple of weeks ago with no response. I was trying to get to a point of interest on top of some boxes in the Grand plaza, had to log off suddenly and when I came back I’ve fallen through and was stuck in the box (have used waypoint to escape cough

As the window itself says, you won’t get any response for in-game reports.
Ascalonian Catacombs has a glitch in the end boss room where you can go through this platform or through the wall (just this entire section) and into water glitch world. Picture #4 I’m inside the wall. Picture #5 is where I fell through and #6 is trying to get back out. (I don’t know how in depth these things need to be, obviously, but it’s a really big area.)
We are stuck in pvp map…….apparently this has happened before. Please fix asap. Event is over and we cannot leave.
I found a bug on the minimap in timberline falls and a skillpoint in field of devastation that does not show up on the map (completed or uncompleted, does not change anything).

EDIT: The skillpoint bug seems to be specific to some instances of the map. It does not appear on every /ip of that map.

I dont know if is a art issue but I cant see a cinematic… it happened me already trying to get a vista and trying to see the first cinematic at HoT prologue. it got stuck after the ui disapear and before the cinematic. it got really hanged out. in order to take a screenshot i had to take it on window mode.
I found two more issues in timberline falls. Flickering textures in the position you can see on screenshot 1 and 2. A bush hovering in the air on screenshot 3 and 4.
Wayfairer near the cave with the jump puzzle… Blinding! Had a friend confirm it wasn’t just me. Also extends into the cave, looks pretty neat but might mess someone up with the jumps!

I’ve completed the Living Story Season 2 quest “Into the Labyrinth” up to needing to “confer with my allies” after Caithe leaves twice now. Both times I’ve ended up stuck in a wall, and can only move back and forth within the wall by jumping over invisible terrain. I tried using Lightning Flash to teleport out, and it tells me I have no line of sight (even when there’s no terrain in the way). I can’t walk forward even when there’s nothing blocking.
This is an incredibly annoying mission and I REALLY don’t want to have to do it again…I submitted an in game bug report but I thought I’d post here too.

Issue: Hovering on the Southsun Cove zone name on the Full Map does not display zone completion information (POIs, Vistas, etc). This issue persists regardless of what level of visual zoom the map is viewed at, as well as persisting regardless of what ‘level’ of Tyria is selected.

Sorry im new here and forgot to screenshot…cuz I was doing pvp when this happened..and I will do the proper thing to do next time.
Doing pvp: battle of champion’s dusk.
At the start of the game, I rushed into the enemies outer gate to kill their guards. I killed them successfully but a enemy ranger showed up. We had a little skirmish until my back was against the outer gate’s pillar(the right side if you are looking at the gate from the catapult) he then did a point blank shot with his long bow and the blow caused my toon to enter the pillar. Im literally inside the pillar. I cant even get out but still I could do damage to the players outside(using flamethrower) and they too could do the same but with only some skills(not with the AA/1 skill). so during the whole game Im inside that pillar. I asked everyone how to unstuck or told the enemy to kill me but no one noticed/replied to me until one of my enemy finally noticed me and did some barrage of skills that finally killed me and I properly respawned (but they were already at our boss, and we only damaged their outer gate).
Im an asura by the way if that matters….

I found a spot in the uncategorized fractal where you can get stuck. There is no way to get out again other than relogging or dieing if the champions are still alive. Look at the screenshot for the detailed spot.
It is easy to get in there. I got stuck while dodging the champions several times already over the years…
Zone: Dragon’s Stand
Area: Northern Chak Nest
Issue: I found in the northern area of the Chak Nest, at the destination of a jump a large blue bouncing mushroom sends you to, you can climb up the back of the chak shell behind you, jump across to a rock outcropping, and be out of bounds. The map for the most part won’t let you actually walk outside the draw limits, but you’ll still find yourself in a flat area with simple textures and occasional dips into the environment below, and generally be able to walk along the southeastern rim of the zone with few problems. Notably, at one point, you can dive off a huge diagonal sheer cliff and fall quite a while until you hit ocean. There’s nothing inherently harmful about this, but it is probably unintentional, I imagine. Either that or Dragon’s Stand is secretly a large, square basin.
I could almost glide to Rata Sum if I tried, I bet.
+1 on JaxomofRuatha.2987 post, I tried to do this part Living Story Season 2 quest “Into the Labyrinth” 3 times today, and I got teleported inside that same wall all 3 times. At first I thought it was because I skipped the cinematics, but then I tried it without skipping it and I still got moved after it finished.
“Into the Labyrinth” story mission. Cutscene ended. Stuck in outside rim of center room, unable to talk to Rox to complete mission. Happened twice in a row.
A way to complete Into the Labyrinth is to use items and self-poison skills to kill yourself. First, you eat a lot of self-damage bloodstone dust food from that Sous Chef. Then you use self-poison as a necro.
Bashing Bauxite Alchemicals cannot do this meta event stuck at the enterance, all the npc are dead and cannot proceed. without this Twilight 1 : experimental nightsword will be made immposible
In the auric basin I found a bit of grass hovering in the air. Look at the screenshots for details.
