Can also confirm if you leave it long enough it will finish downloading. 40kbs what a kittening joke.

my question is this how buggy must the patch have been if this is the polished version

I have been updating since the moment it was released, as well. Still have an indefinite amount left on the last file.

i just read that and yah sounds like it could be a fix but having to do coding and using ghost servers ectra just sounds like way to much work and it should be up to me to do the devs job

I’ve finally given up and used the beta streaming client option… that got me in the game at least.

I understand that you’re trying to help, but I’m not the developer. THEY ARE! And this if kitten stupid. They delayed this patch by almost a week, and what we get is an unpatchable game, or a very buggy one for those who managed to log on. 100% ridiculous.

It won’t let me edit the target at all for some reason – tells me it isn’t a valid path.

Had this problem too, download stuck on 3% left with like 0-1kbs but apearantly i just had to wait for quite some time to finish it, and im from dutchland.

I tried adding -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80 to my shortcut option, and it worked – the remaining file is ~64MB if you’re wondering.

UK here too. On Plusnet and stuck at 1% with 1072MB downloaded.

Ok am in game now on both of my 2 accounts, which I run on separate computers. Both were having the 1 file remaining issue, but it seemed to have fixed itself even after several restarts.

Yes there are problems in game right now too with the chat system, guild chat is not working properly.

i was missing 80mb file, UK Sky, Kinda Sad that we have to bugfix a patch thou.. that should not be an issue

I get something similar, except it ends at assetsrv and doesn’t register after the space.

Problem can also be resolved by using cyberghost software—allows you to chose diferent IP/ country for connecting —-worked for me.

Took many minutes even for the game to boot up to start downloading, am at 1433mb still 1%…. Anet really should have some sense and display download remaining as a % or memory size (like everywhere else), no. of files tells us nothing!

Also UK, sky broadband, every other update (the patching) has been smooth btw as was downloading the game for me. If guild chat’s broken I’ll assume the whisper lag still persists then.

Changing the target to “C:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80 comes up with the not valid error for me, too.

No quotations at all
make sure Start in- points to the gw2 directory. “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2”

I didn’t see any marker as such, perhaps I wouldn’t have as there was 1 file left anyway but anyhow the dl completed, hrs it has taken not pleased, wonder what was downloaded at all if the patch was meant to be <1GB and I’ve downloaded at least 1.5gb…. With the many foul ups Anet has made, worst for me tp2.0 that STILL causes crashes though at least not daily anymore I always at least had smooth patching. After dinner I’ll try the latest build, if the forums are anything to go by it isn’t pleasant.

When stuck at one file, for some people if they changed the language to French and then let it download then change back to English it fixed the problem. I’m UK too, same issue but not a BT broadband user.. although my ISP runs off the BT exchange… so maybe there is something in this.

Also.. as well as being stuck on 99%, the log screen just keeps on flashing repeatedly.
