Q:
Hello there,
I got a new laptop computer today, which is an ASUS Rog G552VW, which has Intel Core i7-6700HQ with Intel HD Graphics 530 + 16GB DDR3 PC17000 + GeForce GTX 960M with 2GB dedicated RAM.
Each time I switch from a zone to another or change graphical parameter, the display freeze, but the PC isn’t crashed at all, I just need to access the desktop (not with the Windows key as it seems disabled) using Ctrl+Alt+Del, then going back to the game and all is working fine.
The game have constant FPS, I have no performance issue on this computer, the issue is just with all the zone switching which is really hard to enjoy the game like in fractals …
I would like to know if you have any idea what could cause this. Please note I have both latest Intel and nVidia drivers installed, properly, and I do not suffer any issue of the kind on any other game, including really intensive GPU eatings one.
It’s seems to be related only to GW2.
Do someone else exprience this issue, or have any clue on what I could do to solve it?
Kind regards.

After some test with the graphical settings, it seems to be related to the VSync. Once deactivated, the issue is gone. It’s very strange. I’ll try tomorrow with the nVidia panel forced VSync to see if it’s the same issue or not.
