Hey peeps!

I’ve had this problem since I created my new elementalist character a few months ago.
I started out with the Flame Eye. The problem is, I’ve been stuck with it ever since. I’ve tried transmuting it to a different skin, equipping new headgear, hiding headgear, taking headgear off and even wasting a Self-Style Hair Kit without equipped headgear.
The Flame Eye is always there. If I equip some other skin, the Flame Eye will still burn on top of it. It’s kind of annoying. ( You know… http://giphy.com/gifs/the-lord-of-rings-return-king-10wgT5PDnOwMQE )
I really don’t want to delete the character to get rid of the Eye, as I used so many tomes of knowledge etc. to level up the character to lvl 80. (Don’t worry, it’s my second elementalist. My main is an asura elementalist. <3)

Does anybody know how to solve this? I’ve already sent a couple of bug reports about it.

(P.S. Fashion Wars: Oh how I wish I could use the original Flamekissed armor skin on this character! <3 I miss it so much.)

More than likely a corrupted file in your .DAT.

Use the -repair option to ‘repair’ the database — that will probably clear it up.

-repair didn’t fix the problem.
The Eye is still there.

flame eye/other elementalist starter headgear has been bugged for a while.
have you tried changing maps? that sometimes gets rid of it.
going under water sometimes gets rid of it too.
also, get a new head piece. if you’ve ever used the flame eye skin on your headpiece, it will get stuck. so replace it.

Going underwater, changing headgear to one that has never been a flame eye and changing map worked, when done as a combo!
