Guild Wars 2

Was doing a story mission for my Norn Guardian. Something to do with rescuing someone from the spirit world. I dont know the name of the mission but i went to the instant, did the whole mission got cut scene and what not. After there was no ojective marker of any sort. Talked to the NPC’s that i could but they didnt say anything really. So i just exited the Instant. Now theres no green quest marker at all and iv been running around trying to figure out what the hell happened. I went back to the great lodge into the Knut loft (makes it a instant for some reason) when i enter, the green marker is circling near the door but does not show up on the map or lets me interact with it in anyway besides leaving the room. Im new to Guild Wars 2 (level 15) and MMO’s in general. I dont know if im just missing something or what but I was rather enjoying the game up in till this point. Please help someone!!!

You unlock chapters of you story quests every 10 levels. You completed your level 10 story quest so you have to wait till level 20.

So im just suppose to just run around and kill random things till level 20?

There are many things to do other than ‘killing random things’ to level up. Renown Hearts, map exploration and completion (including Cities and other Races’ Starter maps), crafting, JPs, Vistas, etc.

Just about anything you do in-game awards XP. The Wiki is a great resource; you can access it from the link above, or even in-game using the /Wiki command in chat.

Yup several things give you XP. But just a reminder that they aren’t supposed to learn about JPs until lvl 21 :P [yay NPE :P]

You forgot deforestation and stripe mining and other activities that may aid in the desertification of Queensdale(or your preferred starter zone)!

Gathering actually gives more experience than killing but the respawn is about 20 times slower.
