4, 6, 7, 8, 10th items would not give me anything for the achieve, despite my interacting with what should give me the achieve. also the one on the bunk bed would not let me interact with it at all. For others I had to talk with the thing several times.

Me and 2 friends were running the instance together and had VERY inconsistent results on collecting these pages.

When one of my friends was owner of the story, she could only pick up 2 pages. My other friend managed to pick up 9/10!! I also could only pick up 2 pages but they were from objects that she could not interact with. I also couldn’t interact with the bookshelves and chest at all!

So we went in again with my other friend as the owner, this time I could interact with the bookshelves and chest but I only got 6/10 pages in total as a lot of other items didn’t give me anything. She managed to get 7/10 items while the owner of the instance (the one who had 9/10) couldn’t get his last page at all.

These pages are completely messed up as items suddenly can’t be interacted with at all, can be interacted with but don’t give annything or randomly give a page to one person but not the other.

I really hope ANet can find out what’s causing this issue.

Went through with another person, and only about half the items we could both look at. The rest would go to whoever interacted with it first, and then it wouldn’t respond to the other. :/

same here, im stuck on 9/10 nr 3 doesnt allow itself to be collected

I’m having a similar problem. I can only seem to collect 9/10 of the books. The achievement panel says I’m missing #2 but when I click on the book in my inventory I have #2 but am missing #3 instead.

I just re-tried for the second time, and I have the same issue.
I have interacted with all 10 books, but achievement stays at 9/10. For me, Section 8 does not appear as collected in the Achivements panel, and i can’t read it from the book inmy inventory either.
Although I’m positive I collected it in the instance.
Hope we get a fix soon

Yesterday evening, after finishing the instance, I walked back into the house and through this collection and was able to get them all without any problem. I did the instance solo.

You must note that there are scrolls mixed in between, which give popups with text but don’t count for the Bartholos collection. Sometimes, for example at the table, you perhaps have to click on the book in front of you to change the focus, otherwise you may perhaps interact with the wrong item.

I am indeed aware of that. I really did collect all the books. The proper books, not the popups texts. I counted all 10 times that my character is “opening” the books (you get a small bar charging above your utility skills), I got all the 10 differents books, and one of them (the Section 8 for me) is bugged, and did not counted towards the achievement.

Alright, I think I figured this out. I had the same issue of having 9/10. I turned “post-processing” onto High in order to see outlines of interactable objects. On the dining table, there are three books stacked on top of each other. You need to interact with the bottom one and the top one. Hover your mouse over the books and interact when the book is outlined in green.
