Guild Wars 2

I have an Asura Warrior with a weird problem. Anytime I come close to dying and then rally, I will regain full health and then suddenly die for no reason. This is not a case of conditions—bleeding or poison is not involved. Most often, I am not even fighting anything anymore when I abruptly die. It has happened many times and is kitten ably irritating. I’m fully healthy, and next thing I know, I’m dead.

I do not have this problem with any other of my characters.

I believe you’ve just described the symptoms of ‘severe Lag spikes’. In all seriousness though, this used to happen to me in CoF p1 for instance, when I had cases of terrible lag. I would have full health one second, and all other players would appear to not be moving at all my screen (though they were). Next thing I know I would be dead where I stood, though nothing killed me..except my lag.

I guess you are using the Vengeance skill (skill 3 while downed – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vengeance) which does exactly what you’ve described.

Once I’m down, I start punching buttons frantically, without really bothering to find out what they do. Good to know it’s not a bug (though it is irritating when you’re not expecting it).

Part of why I loved using it on ursan users in GW1… That vengeance made it into GW2 tells me that some of the devs have a vicious streak that I like :P

It pays to check out the description of each and every skill. Skills are updated at intervals, so it pays to recheck them all occasionally.
