Q:
I hope I am posting this in the right subforum.
It is unrealistic to ask that a developer respond to every suggestion thread on the forums. However, not getting a response fosters the feeling that no one from Anet is reading them. One of the biggest complaints in the WvW subforum is that no one reads the suggestions or feedback.
Would it be possible to implement a reaction button that devs could use to add a small red sticker onto a post when they’ve read it and made note of it? This way they would not need to take the time to write a response, which is more time-consuming, but the community could clearly tell that the post was read by a developer. It is easy enough to click a button next to a post, right?
Of course the downside would be that if developers did not read the forum, this would quickly become apparent as well. But that would not be an issue, because they do read the posts. Right?
Unfortunately, the forum software isn’t really malleable. Perhaps, when and if new software is implemented.

That makes no sense to me though. This is proprietary forum software, they can do whatever they want to it. Would they have been better off going with a third party solution, like almost every game studio out there?
This may provide some information about the forum software:
Good luck.
So we have devs clicking buttons everywere and people see they read it.
Then start to ask why it aint implimented yet?
Edit
Dont see how this would help at all just make people feel more ignored when they aint speaking about anything they suggest.
There’s already a topic about this in the General Discussion section: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Suggestions-Wasted-effort/first#post6239091
Short version of the issues raised: Letting everyone know they’ve seen a post creates an expectation among some people (particularly those posting suggestions or problems) that what they want is going to happen soon, which isn’t something anyone at Anet can realistically promise.
There are plenty of examples, many of them from the WvW section, of them putting players suggestions into action (e.g. creating new maps because players said they were bored with having the same ones, then removing the new maps because players said they didn’t like the change) so it’s not practical or necessary to comment on, or mark, posts they’ve seen.
