I don’t know if this is an isolated issue or not, but I have, over the years spent posting here, accidently reported players on numerous ocations, do to the fact that the reply button is right next to the report button. While on PC, this issue doesn’t come up often, it occurres quite frequently on my smart phone, because it is easy to slip and click the wrong button on a touch screen. Therefore, I suggest moving the report button away from the reply on the bottom right of each post, to the bottom left instead.

Again, I don’t know if I’m the only one who sends in false reports on accident, but I believe this change could save both me the heart ache of having to type out my replies twice, and make your job of sorting through reports to find issues of true value much easier.

I understand why your first click misses; I don’t understand why there’s confusion about the second click. For posts, the button reads “post reply” — for reports, it says “report this post” in big red letters and the button also says “report”.

I agree that the buttons should be separated; I just don’t think it’s urgent.

In actuallity, I’ve only completed the report 2 or 3 times, most of the time I do catch myself on the second page. Which in itself is still a bit annoying. Its just when I’m in a rush, and don’t bother to read a button placed in the same spot as the button I’ve read a thousand times, that muscle memory takes over and I just click away.

No, I don’t think it’s urgent either, just a suggestion. It can be annoying sometimes, but is no more than a minor inconvience, at least on my end.

You are correct, ‘reply’ is below the post on the left, and ‘send report’ bellow the post on the right, but both are the first available left-most button. Reply also has the misc options, and atachment above it, whereas report does not, so the set ups are slightly different.

However, that’s where the second part of my post comes into play, when I’m on my ten minute work break, with just barely enough time to buy and consume some food and use the restroom before hammering out a reply with mere seconds remaining before I have to return to the job, I don’t always read carefully while rushing through the reply process. (I realize this is the fault of my own, an in no way is gw2 responsible) It may also be that I am the only person obsessed enough with gw2 to jump on the forums during my breaks, but the times wherein I completed the report, it was due to this type of situation.

There’s also the fact that while ‘send report’ is on the right, and ‘reply’ is on the left, in both cases, they are right next to the ‘cancel’ button, so even if I am aware that I accidently clicked report instead of reply, once again, the fact that I’m using a touch screen can come into play, and make me click ‘send report’ instead of canceal
