So I was playing the demo and Identified a bunch of stuff.
I got “lucky” and found an actual Sunspear weapon (Exotic).

Then I realised you get a sunspear weapon with prepurchase according to the store page. It just states:
“Pre-purchase before launch and receive one Sunspear Weapon Skin of your choice, a Miniature Balthazar, and the title of Elonian Envoy.”

So I checked and it seems the prepurchase weapon skin is elonian (Rare), not sunspear at all.

Bug, intended, or otherwise?

I think it’s more of a typo on the purchase page.

What one receives is the Spearmarshal’s Gift (a choice of one Elonian Weapon).

They should probably fix that.

That was what I was thinking. Then again a Elonian weapon skin is also very common, if we go by demo standards.

If you look further down on the purchase page, it does state Spearmarshal’s Gift.

The Spearmarshal’s Gift doesn’t state whether it’s Elonian or Sunspear. A mistake is easily made, either through misinformation on the website or through putting the wrong weapon set in the item itself. They can fix it either way. I’ll leave it upto them. :P

Yeah, and no dev commented on this post. I contacted support and they replied the generic “post on forums”.

I think they didn’t notice the typo or maaaaybe… they will give us another box at the xpac launch with the exotic skins

Yeah, no change to the purchase page. I don’t know which it is supposed to be. Though, you do need the Elonian ones to complete a collection…I think. Maybe it’s supposed to be a headstart.
