I was trying to make the Superior Sigil of the Night recipe per the recipe listed on the wiki, here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Recipe:_Superior_Sigil_of_the_Night

It looks like it called for 25 nougat centers, 25 chattering skulls, 25 plastic fangs, and 250 pieces of candy corn. I got all of these necessary components, threw them into the forge, and instead of getting the Superior Sigil of the Night recipe, i got the Major sigil recipe. I even tried it a second time, and still got a major sigil of the night recipe.

Is this how it is supposed to be? I was under the impression set mystic forge recipes were not up to chance like this. Is it possible the wiki recipe is incorrect, or is this a game bug?

I have the same problem. Was hoping to make the Arachnophobia bow this year even though its MUCH more expensive to do so compared to last year.

Since most of the wiki is user-created content, it’s always possible to run into information that is inaccurate. It looks like the recipe changed. When I clicked on the link for the candy corn, it listed all of the items that have candy corn, and that led to the link to the new recipe for the Superior Sigil of the Night:

I know that’s way more clicking and research than anyone would normally go through. Hope the information is helpful.

I updated the http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Recipe:_Superior_Sigil_of_the_Night page with a note and a link to the http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Sigil_of_the_Night page where I found the alternative recipes. Bandaid re-direct – It’s too late in the evening for me to figure out how to change the name of the page entirely (or get someone else to change it) to indicate that it’s the Major Sigil recipe now. Hopefully, that will help someone else.

Those are not alternatives. They are the recipes for making the sigil. The recipe has to be learned from a recipe sheet. The OP is asking about the recipe for the recipe sheet.

Correct. Any news on how actually get your hands on the recipe?

It says may on the wiki so maybe it’s a chance proc?

Talks about how it is a chance proc amongst 12 different potential recipes. Surprise, I guess. Puts an emphasis on the ‘Mad’ part of Mad King, I suppose…
