Guild Wars 2

The ‘Support’ link at the top of the forums (on the GuildWars2/Forums/Support/Wiki header) leads to http://en.support.guildwars2.com/ which has a mismached SSL cert. This prevents Chrome from navigating to it. It should instead link to https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us.

It’s a known bug, and depressingly, because the forums are run by a third party, can’t be fixed.

The forums aren’t run by a third party, they are run by ArenaNet. The forums were created by a third party, that no longer services forums.

The bug is odd, and eventually seems to correct itself; I had it for months, ever since they changed the redirect to the new ‘Support’ site. Now, it’s working; no idea why. It does not affect everyone who uses Chrome, nor everyone that uses Firefox, or other browsers. The certificate does not seem to like the language modifier for some users.

As a work-around, you can use the ‘Support’ link from any other Guild Wars 2 site page.

The issue doesn’t seem to be with forum but with the redirect itself. Apparently the language prefix in the URL is causing certificate issues, it works fine if taking off the language prefix (from http://en.support.guildwars2.com/ to http://support.guildwars2.com/).

Indeed. Though, why it did not work before, and now it does is beyond me. Same redirect, as far as I know.
