Sylvari makeover kit bug fixed yet?
It’s supposed to be fixed. If for some reason it bugs out again, just ask for a refund.
Finally found the thread on Page 64 after searching each and every Bugs page due to the Forum Search being busted for almost 2 months now.

Basically, some reported that, having used a kit and lost their glow, that ArenaNet might have done something behind-the-scenes as their glow returned, though others mentioned still being without glow after using the kit a while ago.
Also, some reported that ‘old’ kits did not offer a slider to adjust the glow, and ‘new’ kits do offer the slider to adjust glow. That if you had one of the ‘old’ kits then the slider option was not offered and would have been set to a default low/off value, thus losing your glow. That the ‘new’ kits (like your new one) do include a slider for the glow value so you shouldn’t lose your glow. Many of them were a bit peeved that they would need to purchase a new kit in order to have the glow slider option to ensure they keep their glow.
I’m not sure what the current status on the whole thing is.
I would say, open the kit and see if there is a slider for adjusting your glow brightness. if there is, then you should be just fine. If there is not a glow slider, then I don’t recommend using it or risk losing your glow and then have to hit up Support about it.

Well, apparently even the ‘old’ kits had a glow slider, but no matter what you set it at, it would save at ‘0’ value, or something. I don’t think they know what the issue was/is.
I honestly don’t know what to say other than give it a try, but have a support ticket ready to be filed. Though, if you do lose your glow and have to file a ticket, I don’t know if they’ll be able to help as it was an achievement reward total makeover kit, and was not bought with gems…so there are no gems to refund. It’s a pretty crappy situation, and with the history of “support” and their being stingy with refunds/replacements…I don’t expect it should end well.
Or, you could be just fine and your glow won’t be lost.

Wow, thank you so much! I tried searching before posting the thread, but, like you said, nothing would show up. I actually didn’t even think to go through the pages instead and I really appreciate that you went through it all. Thank you!!! I suppose I might just wait and see if they announce an “official” fix of it, just to be safe.
