Bug: Symbol of Swiftness duration isn’t stacking properly with other sources of swiftness, including itself. If a target has swiftness already, its duration will only be extended for 1 second per pulse, even if it has less time remaining than the symbol alone would normally provide.

Narrative version: I noticed yesterday that sometimes when I cast Symbol of Swiftness, it doesn’t work just right. It’s supposed to last about 12.5 seconds, and usually it works just fine. If I equip the Honor IX trait (Two-Handed Mastery) and reduce the recharge to 12 seconds, it’s possible to still have swiftness (with maybe 1 second left) when you cast it.

That’s where things go wrong.

Instead of something like:
1 (current) + 12.5 (first pulse) +1 * 4 (one for each additional pulse) – 4 seconds (total duration) = ~13 seconds

You get something more like:
1 (current) + 1 (first pulse) + 1 * 4 (one for each additional pulse) – 4 seconds (total duration) = 2 seconds

Just to be sure it wasn’t something about traits, I just tested it without any symbol- or staff-related traits (Honor III, IX or X) using “Save Yourselves!” as the first swiftness source. After letting the swiftness tick down to about 2 seconds, I tried the symbol again. Same as above. Maximum remaining swiftness duration was 5 seconds when it should have been at least 13.

I’m attaching images to try to explain things better.

Is this intended behavior, then?
