Guild Wars 2

The Guardian Greatsword “2” ability, symbol of wrath, seems to regularly (always?) cause me to be rooted in place for around 2 seconds. I am rooted initially when I press it and initiate the sword-planting animation and I continue to be rooted for at least 1 second after the white circle appears around me, though it usually -feels- like significantly longer.

This is the only ability I have run into across all the guardian weapons that roots me in this fashion (except for a couple that are continuous channels, and even there I am not rooted, it’s just that moving interrupts the ability). This is extremely problematic when you’re at melee range with assorted nasties and you are unable to move or even dodge out of the way.

Further, the mace “2” ability that also applies a symbol does not have this kind of effect – the symbol can be dropped while running without slowing or stopping me.

This feels like a bug to me … if intended, would you consider tweaking it so I could at least dodge in this scenario?

I agree . The same goes with guardian staff skill Line of Warding, Bow of Truth and Mistfire Wolf

Activating the skill force my character to stand still for 2- 3 seconds.
I simply do not use these skills / weapons because of this.

Inability to move while casting most of guardian elite spells and very long casting time make them the least used skills.
