There was an instant long queue for the players and the number of queued for the Tarnish Coast Borderland is different for each player. So far no one is able to enter the borderland. Can ANET fix the problem? Thank you!

Our guild was the main one assigned to this map from BG, and not a single player made it in. PPT for Blackgate on this map is 0 while the other servers appear unaffected.

TS problems since TC entered t1, now we can’t enter TCbl. something seems odd

BG has had some bugged PvE world events as well this week.

Methinks we could need a server reset….?

Yeah, like give BG a large number of easy matchups in Season 2 so they can easily dominate the total score and pull an easy victory + related weekly rewards etc.

Wait… what? Season 2 is over already?

Or are you saying that playing SoR &/or JQ almost every single matchup of SEason 1 was too easy? ’Cause looking back, yeah, it kinda was…

I remember back about 5-6 months ago when SoR had similar issues getting on our own BL. ANet told us there were no issues and we were liars. I am sure they will tell you the same thing.

I must say.. I’ve seen 2 unexplainable gameplay actions from 2 TC players in TC BL.. maybe those ppl are the reason bg cant enter the BL. Hacks!

This is not cool. I may not like BG, but if you’re going to kick them off the map do so fairly. Either pvd or blob v blob. Bags for all.

I’d even be okay for a rollback on score since this could be hurting their ppt (not that they aren’t fully capable of making up for that bit loss). It would be fair, even if I’m not looking forward to being sandwiched between TC and BG again.

I assume that this has had several support tickets turned in.

If there’s a bug (in the reset), let’s find it before it happens to another server and before Tourny starts.

And before potential changes to reset timer (see CDI thread).

Still bugged; been watching the thing for a little while now and it seems to be stuck in the 24-25 player range. To my knowledge no one from BG has been able to either get through the queue or make it to the map. (Of course if someone can correct me, that would be very welcome. )

Any data that anyone can post, or send in to ANet will help track it down. Thanks.

I understand that sometimes bugs happen, that’s fine. But this is bordering ridiculous.

Any answer on this? Its ridiculous to have the matchup affected by this.

At this point, it’s not even about PPT, since we have several large coverage gaps that bleed PPT that doesn’t allow us to catch up in PPT, it’s the fact that a HUGE number of players were denied any chance to play WvW on reset night.

It will soon be 15 hours since reset and BG has still not been ale to get into TC BL. It is not unreasonable to expect at least some sort of response from Anet letting players know that the problem is being looked at.

When there are problems that hurt PVE/Living Story contenct after resets they take the server down within minutes to rectify the problem. There have been many resets where 10 minutes after it starts the servers are taken down to fix a PVE related bug.

Another obvious proof that WvW tickets/bugs are at the bottom of the barrel…..

It’s been around 18 hours since reset and this issue is still not being dealt with. Not even commented on by Anet at all. We are busting our chops on what maps we can but this is beyond unfair. ANET FIX THIS! And let us know you are at least aware of the problem and doing something about it.

Makes me laugh how Anet isn’t doing a kitten thing. kittenty kittening service they are giving their player base. Makes me sad and thinking of going back to WoW. Don’t make me go back to WoW Anet. Fix your kitten.

If we haven’t heard anything it could mean this one is not an easy one to replicate. There are multiple scenarios here that I can think of, from a coding perspective, that might lead to this. I would be speculating, so not going there.

Bigger picture: as frustrating as this is, as much as I’d like it fixed now, I’d rather ANet had the time to make sure this is thoroughly investigated to avoid it ever happening again.

Has anyone at all been able to get inside TC BL to see if BG truly has no presence? Or is it really a dummy presence?

TC BL queue for BG has been stuck at 22 since the reset….and not anyone has been able to get in…

Extremely doubtful… 50-60 members of my guild (we were the guild assigned to TCBL last night) were spamming to get into that map at reset and not a single one of us did. Nobody has heard of a single BG player making it in there since reset.

For the heck of it though, perhaps a JQ thief could be so kind as to stealth into our spawn and see if there is an entire map worth of spawn campers?

Since there is hearsay this occurred once before on a different server, but wasn’t believed by the person reviewing the support ticket at ArenaNet; and since there is a great deal of chaos/stress/overload on the WvW servers/login at the reset; and since race conditions and other time dependent bugs are really hard to diagnose:

ArenaNet’s dashboard metric says the Blackgate player count on the TC borderlands map is full, as the UI reports

This could be happening for one of three reasons:

A large number of saboteur-players have accounts on Blackgate and in fact did log in at the reset, somehow displacing every single Blackgate player who was also aggressively attempting to log in. Since the problem persists after 18 hours, I considered this sitting in the queue at midnight last night, but sitting in the queue again at noon today this seems increasingly unlikely.

The algorithm for allowing players into a BG accidentally let only JQ and TC players in until the BG zone limit was hit, and BG is just queued waiting for the other players to leave. Again, after 18 hours this seems increasingly unlikely.

There is a race condition in the logon, for example, the first BG player to successfully log into that borderlands LD’ed before they were on, and the server decremented the player count from 0 to -1; treating -1 as a positive number it’s above the number of allowed players… In any event, not suggesting exactly that happened, but something caused the game to believe and report a full complement of BG players in TC Borderlands, therefore queueing everyone from BG who tries to get in.

It’s important to fix this bug, because if it happens in Tournament even once, given the way Tournament is set up this time it will invalidate the entire result.

Suggestion: add an alarm to the game dashboard, where if a realm has players in a WvW map (other than EoTM) but holds no objectives for a full tick (takes nothing and holds nothing so get zero score for a 15 minute period), send an alarm which causes a person to investigate, so that if this occurs again the zone can be reset in minutes instead of hours or days.

I stayed #1 in the que for a few hours. Never got in

22 hours and still can’t access Tarnished Coast BL. Also, no response/status on a fix from Anet

The issue with the bugged queue probably not get fixed before Monday and by then it might be too late to catch up….

Also there is no way of actually patching this other than resetting all the scores for this week which will never happen.

I just hope %$^* like this doesn’t happen during the WvW season….

Is it still bugged? If so, this seriously needs to get fixed. This happened to TC quite a while ago, but it was fixed fairly quickily…

That being said, I think people should stop blaming TC for this, and for the DDoS attacks..they happened before TC went into T1…On the bright side, at least BG can bunker down their own BL with all their forces?

Wow still no response, wheres the customer services, at least say you’re working on it. Seriously I know its the weekend but this should have been a priority to call ppl in for overtime to fix.
