I can’t help but feel that her voice is incredibly obnoxious and loud when she is in her golem. I usually have to turn down the dialog volume or mute altogether when I am in a story instance where she keeps yelling.

Is this working as intended? When I keep the dialog volume down, I can barely hear my female Norn character’s voice, but can still hear Taimi’s clearly.

I also noticed that mesmer offhand pistol noise is so incredibly loud. When I have three of the phantasms out, all I can hear is the “space invasion” noise.

Any thoughts?

Something is wrong with your sound balance then. The volumes are comparable (a bit louder and more garbled while in golem, sort of like voices on the Public Address system in your least favorite metro/subway).
