I did a search but couldn’t find any other posts on this topic..

Recently I have not gotten anything but Carrots from Taproots (should also yield Beets, Sage Leaves and Turnips), and Variegated Taproots (should also yield Rutabagas and Turnips). I know there’s no guarantee to get something else, and Carrots might be the most common resource from these nodes, but statistically I should have received something else atleast once concidering all the gathers I’ve done the past few weeks.

I also did a small test with three other guildies, where we all harvested 4-6 different nodes of Variegated Taproots in Bloodtide Coast, and again all of us received nothing but Carrots.
We also used different gathering equipment: Consortium Harvesting Sickle, Jack-in-the-Box Scythe and the normal (not everlasting) gathering tools.

To me these nodes seem broken (or have atleast gotten a different loot table, intentional or not).

Is this a known issue? Has anyone else had the same problem?

Although I do get a lot of carrots, I received sage leaves and beets from nodes in WvW earlier today. I’m using the Consortium Harvesting Sickle.

Krypto; Was that in EB or one of the Borderlands?

If my memory serves me correctly, it was one of the borderlands – Mag’s, if I’m not mistaken. So it was the Green BL.

Have you only been harvesting the nodes in Bloodtide Coast? The types of ingredients they drop is actually specific to the type of map they’re in. Turnips (and possibly Rutabagas) only drop from Taproot nodes in Shiverpeak maps, for instance. As Bloodtide Coast is a Krytan map (for some strange reason), I would expect there only to be Carrots, Beets (since they drop from Taproots in Gendarran Fields too) and possibly Yams (although to date I can only remember harvesting Yams from Harathi Hinterlands).
