Just wondering if temple of Balthazar was increased in difficulty or if its a bug. On NSP server, when we were escorting the pact, multiple wells were scattered all over the place from the first mob we ran into. We had no idea where it came from (no it wasn’t the wells from the nobles that we are used to seeing). It wiped the pact in a matter of a few seconds. Wish I captured pics of it, but it happened so fast that I didn’t get the chance. Is it a new addition to this temple or is it a bug of some kind?

…It was not doing this Last night. This only started happening after the latest “HotFix”

If this is in anyway intentional… then Anet needs to make NPC’s immune to AOE’s otherwise this is literally impossible without some kind of advanced Flagging functionality like we had for our Heroes in GW1.

THANK YOU for posting this… if these new wells were added to the temple of Balthazar… its getting ridiculously hard. I thought having to deal with the noble wells were hard enough, now they add these new ones that cover more area and often overlap each other when there is a big group doing the event.

Just tried it again, looks like the wells of death are coming from the veteran risen plaguebringers. The damage is massive and aoe circles are huge. There is literally no where the pact can go to avoid it, they overlap and kill the pact quickly. Guess the reduced noble damage was substituted with this new skill from the vet plaguebringers to keep the temple difficult.

Well that’s still a bug then… All Vets have their most powerful summons on long Cooldowns. And we were interrupting them. If they’re casting these, then it looks like they could even be bypassing any casting Animations to summon them and then also bypassing Cool-Downs which is a lot worse. Not even most champions do that. Not even the Priest of Balth himself puts out damage fields that quickly… Let’s assume the 1 in my Video was being chain stunned while the other one wasn’t. That was still 6 identical MASSIVE wells all put out by 1 single Veteran with less than 15 players present at the time.

So yeah this definitely points to an AI/Skill scripting issue since it wasn’t in last night when the bulk of the Patch went out.

I’m hoping the devs will see this and acknowledge it because it’s really frustrating to try and get a temple opened when less than a minute into the Escort the entire pact wipes because these insane damage wells.

I just want my 42 obsidian shards. :c
