Story mission “temple of the forgotten god” is currently not completable.

After taking the essence to the second temple orb, the essence disappears but the doorway that is supposed to open remains closed and there is no way to advance further in the mission. Tried the mission twice, same result.

Edit: Not a bug! My mistake.

There were a lot of people who were having issues with this quest, but simply starting over usually helped some of them.

They were usually all happening in the first room, though.

Are you absolutely certain that you know where you need to go after you place your orb?

The door you need to go through is very small and is in the main chamber (near the top).

Many people mistake the mission for bugged at this point simply because they cannot find the aforementioned doorway.

You may very well be experiencing a bug, but I’d double check if I were you just in case.

Ah, you’re right. There’s a doorway in the second room just like the one that opens in the cutscene of the first room with the green star right beyond it so I assumed that was the door that was supposed to open. My bad.

Heh, I’ve done that story step dozens of times, and I still get lost every time.

Glad to know I’m not alone! My wife and I always do our personal stories together, and we always have some pretty interesting discussions when trying to find our way through this one. It’s just like trying to find our way through a “shortcut” on a long road trip, except there’s no way to stop and ask for directions.
