Ok so we know this is one of the most prolonged Fear occurrences in the game (about 5 seconds), I have a question regarding it’s duration… let’s say I have the utility Cleansing Fire and I hit it at the 4 second mark out of the 5 seconds of duration the Fear has, I start walking back into the fight and get hit with the Fear again, for it’s full duration all over again.
As a comparison, at the Claw of Jormag event, you can hit the same stunbreak utility (Cleansing Fire, Shake It Off!, etc.) and you can walk back into the fight and it will allow you to see the Claw still enacting the motion of it’s Fear shout whilst being unaffected by it’s shout (I believe that one is about 3 seconds).
Has anyone else noticed this?
Can anyone please tell me if this is indeed a bug or if it’s working as intended.
I think you got hit by the same cone attack again.
Check the effect countdown for fear – when Teq uses his scare breath it will refresh the effect to the 5 second limit for at the very most 3 second duration of the breath attack.
I think Jormag’s breath attack is broken in that once you stun break during the attack there are “pockets” where the attack doesn’t affect you.
It would stand for reason that Teq’s fear breath attack works due to no terrain issues (you fight Teq on flat ground). Although I agree its frustrating to have either 8 seconds of fear or completely waste a single use of stun break.
It would be cool if stunbreakers made you immune to non-condition CC effects as well as the 1-2 second stun immunity you get after activating a stunbreaker.
Tequatl= 1 sec pulsing fear ~5second duration pulses once per second
Claw= 3 sec Fear
If u want to keep hammering away on tequatl then use stability. Other options include Obsidian flesh after a stun break, distortion with 4 clones after a stun break, Engineers immune to conditions trait at 25% or lower hp
