Hello, I know disconnections during Tequatl encounter happens sometime to everyone in GW2 and I have been no exception in past few months. But it was quite rare. Once or twice in a month.

But I have been booted out 3 times today. Considering fact it’s 15 minutes long encounter and you have to be on place 20-30 minutes on spot before encounter starts, it’s a lot of wasted time. Not mentioning the frustration.

I understand it’s impossible to maintain 100% perfect connection for every participant, but wouldn’t it be possible at least to reserve spot from the map you have been prior disconnection ? Something like 3 minutes long grace period.

check the ip
(in chat with /ip)
If you see 161 in the address—you will always have a bad connection.
Restart the game and hope you get placed on a different server.

thanks for reply Blude. After this issue I have encountered lag spikes in open world. Something like 2 second long lag spikes every 10 seconds. TRACERT shown nothing as it hit the “OK” moment so I am now running few minutes long ping session to see if there will be some packetloss areas.

last 2 days game went very smooth until today. Inbetween 16:30 and 17:05 game started to hickup. Just to be sure what’s going on I was performing ping test through classic cmd command. (in the attachment).

And… look into the log. 0% packet loss, one timeout within 25 minutes of recording. This makes me confused. Game was in it’s classic laggy phase, all icons blinking all skills held for 5 seconds and more , yet ping was 23 ms all the time. (and yes, i was recording logs from IP server I was currently connected)

Isn’t there any bug in the code that makes part of the issue ? Some missing / corrupted file ? In the moment Tequatl used his fear ability….game stopped lagging and everything went allright since then until the end of the encounter.
