MAKE MORE POOLS OR MAKE THEM SPAWN SOONER…. tequatl dies so quick now with even an unorganised group we can kill him before he even has a chance to spawn the pools… meaning you have 1 shot to get it and that’s when he hits 75% that’s it no more chances after that….
ive even taken 1 full attempt and just stood around and looked for pools the entire fight and couldn’t find 1 and the npc never even said that he was pulling people down even…
we need more pools…or make them last longer 3 seconds isn’t long enough apparently and make the visual pop out more all I could see was the green mist crap…
Been Looking for these whirlpools for The Juggernaut, so same issue for a different weapon… Made a stack of attempts and either cant get his health down on lower populated maps or there just doesnt seem to be any whirlpool spawns on the higher populated ones. I have everything but this to move to the final crafting stage of the pre cursor. Frustrating is an understatement.
As an option if you guys play later in the evenings: I run a Teq event @ 10pm PST every Wed. Usually it’s 2 Teq’s in a row but we’ve hopped to Shatterer this past one for achivos. That said, if you are out an about on Wed look for SORC/GSCH Teq BBQ in LFG or hit me up. Then make a request in map chat. If I know people are looking for that particular achivo I’ll have the zerg slow down on that initial phase.
The pools form at the transition between the 1st phase and the battery phase, then during each burn phase afterwards. Most maps just have too much DPS to allow enough time for these to spawn.
Trying joining a map at, or just after Teq spawns… you have to take the risk that your map doesn’t have the DPS to achieve the 2nd phase, but once you do, the longer amount of time during the burns phases let many more pools form. After numerous unsuccessul attempts with high DPS maps, I must have been sucked in 3 times during my successful whirlpool attempt.

Exactly. You need a map that is good enough to beat Teq, but not good enough to skip from burn to battery, without any of the intermediate fighting.
