I’m in heart of the mists alot, and like to go grab auctions, etc. but i zone out of mists and get booted out of terrace, and have to use item again.

would rather not.

it’s not an item i bought just because it was there, i’ve been wanting a permanent one since it was introduced.

but to have to re-use it everytime i zone in, kinda awful.

I mean, wouldn’t a script checking if it’s in my inventory be sufficient?

I don’t believe this is a bug, rather WaI. More of a suggestion, than anything. It worked exactly as it does now, before it was permanent. Double-clicking on the item, and instantly being teleported there, with no loading time, isn’t very labor- or time-intensive.
