Terrible Changes, Need to Revert
it doesn’t warrant an emergency patch
Ugh, that explains a lot…
I too second a revert.
Give Charr armor some more love!

Does need a total revert, but a hotfix would be great. Since when was it a good idea to prevent players from “trying before they buy”? I still can’t preview gear on the TP.
Needs a revert, we need more options to preview armor and weapons, not less.
This is an aesthetics driven game, how else am I going to decide if I want to keep certain drops for alts if I can’t preview them? Do I seriously have to deposit them in my bank, switch to my alt, run to the bank, then preview them? Seriously?
BTW – I just tested the starting gear thing, and it still works [specifically tested with Charr necro mask → account bound mask that I successfully equipped on my Charr ele]. HOWEVER, do remember that you need to obtain the starting gear item on the same race you want to use it on! (At least I read this in multiple places) – this is likely why your guildmate thought it didn’t work. Also you have to transmute it to a white or blue that has no upgrade; anything higher will result in the item remaining soulbound, from my understanding.

Bring back previewing for alt armor/weapon types please. It’s crucial in deciding to sell or keep armor for alt characters.
Have to agree with this, but hopefully this is just the beginning to a better patch in the future which will allow all players to obtain order amors, starter skins, etc legitimately.
I really hope this will be changed back.
I also hope they change the selling of gathering tools back… I wanted to buy a copper pick in the first norn area and it only sold me iron ones because of my characters level. Sure it is not that much money but still annoying.
I just want to agree with this. I have 4 alts and I like to preview pretty much everything to see if it’s a skin I will want to hang onto, weapon or armor. This seems like a pretty pointless change.
agree with this
