I’m doing the Whispers Order storyline and I’m stuck at The Battle of Claw Island part, where I am supposed to defend the wall against the abominations. I’ve killed all of them, just those trash mobs are left on the beach, but they keep respawning every time. I’ve tried looking for some dead NPCs – nothing. I’ve restarted the quest 2 times at least, now waiting around 1 hour, praying for a miracle to happen. I’m pretty sure it’s a bug, because there’s nothing more to do except for killing trash over and over.

I have the same issue right now. Tried 10 times. I even get stuck sometimes while killing the Risen on the beach…

I have the exact same issue, im stuck and the quest tracker wont update on the beach, and other times im stuck killing stuff and it still wont update wasted well over an hour on this already. Fuming.

I was helping my friend and she had the same issue. Cleared the wall but the tracker did not update, we even ran about trying to kill some of the excess risen on the beach whilst looking for any possible mobs that had loaded into a wall but nothing.

Not sure if this help but she was doing it via the priory story steps.

It seems to happen at many PS/LS instances since today’s update. It’s not directly connected to this specific story part.
Well, gonna wait for a hotfix, I guess.

Same issue. My bf and I were looking to complete some story missions on our characters to earn some keys.

Started off in Forewarned is Forearmed, we managed it, but Forgal didn’t want to follow a lot of the time. Went to Battle of Claw Island and entered 3 times total. 2 times we cleared the abominations from the wall and got stuck there, another time we were at the beach when the risen “feint attack” begins, and got stuck there.

Went onto different characters to a level 30 story mission “Whispers in the Dark” and encountered the exact same problem there. Had to defend a camp from risen, defended the camp and the story didn’t move in.

I reported the bug in game for Claw Island. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

Same issue, even rest it 3 times now, and its not progressing..

I have this issue as well. Instance will not progress past defending the wall against abominations.

Confirming the issue. Vigil side here. Tried to do this quest solo and 4/5 times I got stuck on the abominations and one time the part before it on the beach.

Same issue. Cant progress. Kinda sad, hope it will get a fix patch soon.

Hi all. Had a similar problem and was fighting for a while but when I went to the centre of the circle, the area which the wall surrounds, and killed those guys it moved on to the next stage. I think it depends on which groups you attack as some respawn forever.

I’m experiencing something, as well.

All the Abominations are dead (they’re absurdly easy for a Thief) and none had respawned. All I’m left with is a bunch of NPCs on the wall, standing about with their thumbs up their kitten and a story that won’t progress.

I think it has been fixed, I was able to proceed to the next part.

It’s been fixed for me – I managed to complete that section of the questline without any issues earlier today.

Lots of reports of stories being bugged/refusing to progress, as of yesterday’s patch. Happened to me as well. Sometimes it clears when you try again, sometimes it doesn’t. On the one hand I’ll believe it’s fixed when the reports stop – on the other I’ve no doubt it’s going to be high on the list of things the support guys are bugging the devs about.
