The CONSTANT crashing
they wont even admit there is a problem… thats the sad thing
my wife hasnt been able to do any events at all since launch of HoT with her big desktop and nvidia graphics card
meanwhile.. i can run it on my little laptop with intel hd video fine
Its a memory leak in the game triggered by nvidia graphics cards, and a few AMD ones..
its not a windows 32 bit problem
its not a windows 64 bit problem
its not a ram problem
its not a pc problem
its the kitten client… OOM errors everywhere
THEY WONT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM…
She filed a support ticket and got a reply telling her that
it was because she was on 32 bit windows ( the game is only 32 bit) and that she needed to upgrade to windows 64 and that would solve all her problems. That is BS because i see tons of people with HUGE pcs running 64 that are crashing as well
They also referred her to a 2 year old post on windows 32 problems but why??? shes ran the game fine since beta.. and only started crashing since hot release. The specs for the game DID NOT CHANGE!
and they also told her to remove some ram from her PC.. wtf.!? shes only running 3 gig of memory.. why should she remove some?

for a start, I’m running this through Mac. i Have plenty of RAM, the display isn’t a problem, and prior to HoT there was no issue. immaculate gameplay, not one DC.
The memory leak is absolutely apparent. the developers are ignoring our countless posts and complaints, defiant to the end.
people with 64 bit are crashing. people with 24gb or RAM are crashing.
People with £10,000 computers are crashing, due to A KITTEN MEMORY LEAK.
A-NET i implore you accept responsibility and reply to our posts.

Just got a crash, again. Looked at some stats before sending the report to ArenaNet:
1.4 / 4 GB VRAM used
3.5 / 16 GB RAM used
For a 32bit process that’s a lot. Can you please make a 64bit client already instead of still offering support for those 1% that still run WinXP x86?
It isn’t about 64bit. Please read above post.
A 32bit client on a x64 OS doesn’t make any difference. I’m talking about a 64bit client, not just running it on a x64 operating system.
A 64bit client would allow the process to use up to 65,000x the amount of RAM a 32bit process can use (which is 3-4GB) before running into heap size issues.

since HoT there has been memory leak. which needs to be addressed now .
