Perhaps if the search tool is not also bugged, there is not yet a thread for the subject – tough, I think the tool is bugged, impossible to not return anything when you type CoF or Citadel, in ALL forums. Anyway….

I do some dungeons daily and I have seen many bugs out there for a long while and well, they are still there. Everybody knows about them, somehow seems nobody complained officially yet.

I listed all the bugs I know from the dungeons and paths I do, would be cool if we could keep all bugs experienced in dungeons here rather than one different thread for each one I believe.

Please ANet, take a time to look over these issues. Many of them are older than most of the living world patches…

Citadel Of Flame

1- The invisible fire balls
This is probably the most common and popular bug. Often the fire balls in Path 1 are invisible. Rarely they become visible, or just one or other player can see them. Sometimes, after many wipe outs everybody is able to see. Mystery.

2- Magg
The little guy is know as the most annoying NPC in dungeons. When the party has to cross the magma field, he will behave erratically. He is supposed to follow the last player in the line, but often he stops to fight the foes. Sometimes if the last player died, and TP, he may follow the person back to the WP – sometimes he might not, mystery#2. This makes the run in P2 often longer than it was supposed to be and is required always somebody experienced to solo the crossing.

3- Floating Fire Bombs

In P2, when we have to bring the bombs to Magg, sometimes if a player dies when is jumping from the middle spot with a bomb, and get downed or die, the bomb he was carrying gets stuck in the air, floating. Better it come back to the original spot or fall in the floor with the player.

Twilight Arbor

1- Weapons not Swapping

Often during the Up path, after doing the skip after Malrona, players can’t swap weapons. This started to happen after the Twilight Assault patch.

2- Morrigu pulling Foes

In the skip before facing Fyona, Morrigu often keeps hitting the spiders behind the party, forcing players to stack further. The NPC may do other kind of inconvinient aggros. Would be better if she just attacks WHILE players are attacking rather than AFTER someone starting attack.

3- Nightmare Tree AoEs

During Up, the boss may apply its AoE out of red circles in the ground, making the melee combat unpredictable.

4- Force Fields

The bubble force fields during Forward path should interact better with skills. When I run my guardian, the avenger shield often gets toasted right after being conjured, specially because it doesn’t spawn right in the axis of the character. The Flashing Blade skill of sword may also put the player in an unwanted position across the field, getting instantly down.
And sometimes, the fields get invisible and becomes complicated to get a proper position inside the bubble.

Ascalonian Catacombs

1- Getting Stuck

During P1, there is a known glitch during the destruction of the burrows making players stuck outside a wall close to a door, right beside a burrow. Somehow the player is teleported behind the wall in a different room.

2- Teleported to Neverland

It happened to me twice, and I was really surprised, at some point it was fun. Also during the burrows destruction, I got sucked down by a burrow and… sent to an infinite ocean behind the dungeon. It was nice to see how the Catacombs are outside, I didn’t know there was water under it. Anyway, better I don’t meet that place again. (image attached)

3- Tzark Bugged

During P3, he may engage in battle with the NPC’s right before collecting the essences and won’t start the collecting. Often players have to reset the whole run.

4- Detha Bugged

Before the event in which she would start to set the traps, if she had engaged in battle with the gravelings skipped, Detha may get a glitch and players won’t be able to interact with her and she won’t do anything at all. Also is necessary to reset the run.

I rarely run Crucible, Sorrow’s Embrace and Arah, so I don’t have a history of glitches there. Never faced problems during HoTW. Feel free to add more issues.

i’m amazed how inaccurate and vague those bug descriptions are

Citadel Of Flame
1- The invisible fire balls
are caused by lower graphic settings and high quality character limit settings, as those fire balls don’t have generic placeholder skin for lower settings

Twilight Arbor
1- Weapons not Swapping
it has nothing to do with twilight arbor. its general bug with cinematics. if you are swaping weapons when cinematics starts, it gets disabled. ‘fix’ for that is going to hero panel and pressing button to switch weapons there. this bug existed since day 1

3- Nightmare Tree AoEs
i suspect you get damaged by his slam attack, which doesn’t have any aoe circles

4- Force Fields
why is this even a bug. they are supposed to toast anything that touches them. i’d say it’s a bug that you can dodge roll with aegis into them

Ascalonian Catacombs
1- Getting Stuck
you get pushed away if you are standing on burrow when its destroyed, and that ‘push’ ignores walls

npc skipping in general – npcs are not scripted to support every possible skipping scenario – so when you skip you do it at your own risk – have fun micromanaging those npcs

don’t know if you are bored and just wanted to flame on somebody for free… but I am not stupid, and none of your “solutions” work as a solution.

For citadel, do you want me to record a video showing you I play on ultra and still I can’t see the balls? I wish I could also show you how the balls get visible out of the blue, not touching anything on the settings, tough that happens even rarer. However, the game is supposed to reach most of players, so, if there is not an option of skin for low graphics players, that is a bug mister, either way…

If the weapon swapping happens since day 1, I would say I was lucky not facing it for over a year, just suddenly after Twilight Assault patch, inside TA. By the way, there is absolutely no cinematic before it……. thanks again for your contribution lol. And, if swapping on H panel is a solution (something everybody is FORCED to do) then they should just erase the option for you to do so via Tab key don’t you think smarty pants? H panel switch has no contribution to swapping in battle.
ps.: Im not stupid I don’t stack in the face of the Nightmare tree… lol.. I wasn’t punched
Flashing blade – skill 2 from guardian sword – downs me but not ’coz I mistaken, but coz the teleport moves there are unpredictable, I call that a bug if you are straight aligned to your foe and you are tp besides him, in the field….

But thanks for remembering the aegis thing, I forgot it ’coz often the party goes all together ’tru the portals. In the end you were useful for something uh?
