The Emperor’s New Wardrobe achievement
If you previously purchased Human Tier 3 Chest Armor, no matter which weight, you will not receive credit toward the Achievement again. You must purchase 6 unique pieces of Cultural Armor for each Tier (Head, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, Legs, Feet).
If you did not transmute or destroy the Cultural Armor previously purchased, you might check the Wardrobe for a different weight class item. If you did transmute or destroy the item(s), of course they will not be found within your Wardrobe.
Good luck.
I dont get this at all.Today i started to progress this title achiev of curiosity as a human race.ALL skins in all 3 vendors were locked!Started with a thief bought a medium chest and feet from tier 3 and they counted for the achiev, then bought all mediums from tier 1 and tier 2 vendor and some counts others not. so i get to 14/18 (i was 5/18 sorta before that)in tier 1 of 5 of the achiev and started be confused. Then with a necro i bought all tier 1 and 2 light pieces and still 14/18 i tier 1of 5 of the achiev. And finally a a light chest from tier 3 still stuck at 14/18, then i gave up:(.I did get pop-up for skin unlocked for all but still stuck.
Ive read some guides for the achiev and they all buy the gear from all tiers not just tier 3.Now the picture is – all skins in tier 1 and 2 unlocked cos i bought the heavy with a guard which is 18*2=36 and 3 armors from tier 3(that must be enough to get to tier 2 of 5 of the achiev all tiers are of 18).
I dont know if that has to be something with a wardrobe patch or gear name conflict or some other asura technology bug, but i want to know how to complete it and what gear to buy since there is NO WAY know as there is some wierd conflict what is unlocked and the achiev progress.
I need to get 90 pieces of armor thats 5*18=90, one vendor has 18 listed for all weights and if someone with experience can tell me of which vendor to buy from( if only from tier 3 or something) i will be thankful.I dont want to spent 600+ gold just to find out i miss something or still stuck at progress.
Your Thief bought a Tier 3 Chest piece, and was awarded credit towards the Achievement. Any subsequest Tier 3 Chest pieces (for that race’s Cultural Armor) will not give you credit towards the Achievement.
You need one (1) Chest, one (1) Headgear, one (1) Gloves, one (1) Legging, one (1) Footgear, and one (1) Shoulders Cultural Armor (for a specific Race) from each of the three Tiers (6 × 3 = 18).
Tier 1 Chest, Tier 2 Chest, Tier 3 Chest (any weight)
Tier 1 Shoulder, Tier 2 Shoulder, Tier 3 Shoulder (any weight)
Tier 1 Headgear, Tier 2 Headgear, Tier 3 Headgear (any weight)
Tier 1 Gloves, Tier 2 Gloves, Tier 3 Gloves (any weight)
Tier 1 Footgear, Tier 2 Footgear, Tier 3 Footgear (any weight)
Tier 1 Leggings, Tier 2 Leggings, Tier 3 Leggings (any weight)
Three (3) x six (6) different gear items for a total of eighteen (18) unique pieces, then times five (5) different races (18 × 5 = 90).

Now its clear that i dont need all 3 weight armors and swap between classes, just races.
Cheers!
Really p*ssed off by this. The description of this achievement – and in particular what it means by “unique” – is rubbish. In my book pieces of, e.g., light and medium chest armour are NOT the same thing. What the achievement actually means is, “unique ignoring armor weight”.
(I wouldn’t be so annoyed if I weren’t exactly one achievement point short of completion, and hadn’t just spent 30 minutes, plus gold I’d prefer to have used for other things, chasing down all of the tier 1 armours to get it – 90 unique pieces as any reasonable English-speaker would understand the word, but only 30 as far as the game is concerned.)
One thing (in the future) that is always prudent to do before spending large amounts of Gold is to refer to the Wiki. Or, ask veteran players, or those that have a working knowledge of whatever one might spend the Gold/effort on.
Good luck.
